I wished they offered the option of only sanma sans the tonkatsu for their teishoku.
All the moisture from the oroshi had clumped the kombu together making it a little messy to eat. Didn't taste bad with the dashi/yuzu-y dip they provided though.
Tonkatsu by Ma Maison currently has an autumn special - Kurobuta Mushroom Katsu which features their kurobuta rosu katsu with mushrooms on daikon oroshi that has been infused with truffle oil and shiro dashi.
I liked that the aji itself was firm and flaky, clad in the crispy panko batter.
Most of the dishes in Ma Maison are set-based (with rice, pickles, miso soup, cabbage, and dessert), with a limited number of foods that are offered as sides, like the Ebi ($5.80 ea) and Crab Croquette ($5.80 ea).
The complimentary miso soup, cabbage and rice are re-fillable.
