This is his preferred go-to fix for this very Klang Hokkien meal.
For me personally, I will stand on my ground for the soupy bak kut teh because my Bak Kut Teh craving was utterly satisfied, Another visit to Yap Chuan Bak Kut Teh? Why not? I won't mind. I am definitely keen in finding about what else will be a good run and in tandem to soupy bak kut teh or black vinegar pork knuckles.
We settled down to a 2 person portion of dry BKT, 1 person portion of soup BKT and 1 portion each of blanched lettuce, taufu pok, golden mushroom strands and yau cha kuai. The BKT was spot-on, from the caramelized and fragrant dry BKT to the thick and tasty soup BKT.

If ever in Malaysia, you gotta try Bak Kut Teh - a flavourful and hearty soup! And we know just the place to get it: Restoran Bak Kut Teh Yap Chuan Puchong!
Overall, I would find this BKT shop are pretty good that can go on par with those at Klang and I am sure that this Yap Chuan Bak Kut Teh is one of the best can be found in Puchong. Set back is, its too far for me now as I have move to Segambut. I guess I have to start hunting BKT around these area.
I don’t cook bak kut teh anymore now that I’m back in KL; not when there are plenty of good ones around. Our recent lunch at Yap Chuan Bak Kut Teh in Puchong was a pretty satisfying affair. Four of us shared a dry bak kut teh (RM11 per pax), soup bak kut teh (RM10 per pax), stir-fried lettuce (RM8) and a steamed red snapper (RM38). The place can be chaotic and crowded, so go there early to avoid disappointment.
At first I preferred the soup version. But the more I ate the Dry Bak Kut Teh, the more I like it. It takes a while before you are hooked on it lol.
