Lye Bo might not offer an extensive menu, but it more than makes up for it with its focus on quality. Their selection of tossed noodles is deliberately concise, featuring only three straightforward options.
Personally, I am contented with this bowl of prawn noodle however, something seems missing.
Old school stall recommended by EatBook.Ah. The soon kueh or bamboo shoot kueh had nice crisp and lightly savoury fillings and was refreshing, with a good bite. The yam ang ku kueh was not bad in terms of uniqueness although normal in term of taste and texture.
Recommended by The Traveling Hungryboy. The pho here had a dark broth which was sweet, meaty and had layers of flavours like mint and freshness coming through. The pho itself was smooth, and the sliced beef beefy and fairly tender. The spring roll was serviceable, plump with meat and prawn and vegetables.
Keng Eng Kee opened a new outlet in 2022 at SAFRA Tampines. With the restaurant in the East and the zi char restaurants in West Singapore, they have the whole Singapore covered.
Keng Eng Kee (KEK) Seafood is considered one of the best in Singapore, and for my son’s birthday we went here.
The first thing I saw when I stepped into Alexandra Village Food Centre today was this Vietnamese stall (120 Bukit Merah Lane 1 #01-02).
The highlight for me has to be the noodle tossed with their special sauce.
Poh Cheu Ang Ku Kueh and Soon Kueh review. Traditional shop at Alexandra Village, Jalan Bukit Merah near Ikea Singapore
排了挺长的队。担担面的面条软硬适中而有嚼劲。 酱料微辣带花生酱香,但有一点太多。肉末也很香,增加了面的整体香味。小笼包也挺细致的。汤带甜,肉香嫩,皮够薄。好吃。
