Chimmey we always go for classic which is Cinnamon sugar coated. Chimney is good, where the texture of it is slightly soggy chewy and done to perfection. If were to compare the one I had in Publika, KL, this is much better. Dough is also more fragrant. however the set back was the soft serve and 2 toppings which I find it quite expensive. Oh well, these are the kind of pricing for a dessert now days.

Polo Bun with Butter (菠萝油) – RM4.50, a very typical Hong Kong pastry. The top of the bun was covered with slightly sweet crust while the inner of the bun was stuffed with a piece of creamy butter. In Penang, it is so difficult to get Polo Butter Bun. That is the reason I came to this cafe to try out the bun. It is in fact one of their best-sellers and usually sold out by noon. The top crust was so nice and the bun was soft and warm. Having it with soft and creamy butter was simply satisfying. This bun is perfect when it is served warm.

走入室內，發覺餐廳的面積真的不大。右邊兩張小圓形雲石餐桌相互依偎地靠向白色的右牆，還把牆角的精緻桌燈給遮掩了半邊。餐廳左邊則毫無規則地擺著又大又小的圓形餐桌。連同門外的三張餐桌，Ivy's Nyonya Cuisine大概只有不到十個餐座。朱紅色的墻面畫有攀岩植物狀的圖紋，還有一些鑲在鏡框中的圖畫作點綴。由天花板垂吊下來的鳥籠吊燈，甚有美感，可說是店裡最美的擺設了。對著室內用餐區域的小窗口，即是餐廳的櫃檯。在這旁邊，還有一條通往洗手間的小走廊，到處擺滿雜物。顯然的，餐廳的簡約裝潢從不打算譁眾取寵，反而毫無掩飾地保留了家的原貌，飄散著一股親切的味道。

Normally I’m not a fan of pork chops as the ones I’ve had previously have all turned out too dry for my liking. Surprisingly, Naughty Nuri’s Grilled Pork Chops begged to differ. The juicy cut of meat (sourced very carefully with just the right amount of fat vs lean meat) was lightly seasoned with salt and pepper and grilled to perfection. The meat was succulent and even better when eaten together with that layer of melt-in-your mouth fat.

Ever wondered why you can always find happy diners feasting on an array of Thai-influenced dishes at one small alley along Kimberley Street? Tucked right next to a curious, unappealing shop named "Thai Shop", the alley next to it is associated with "Thai Shop"... with a few stalls selling Thai delicacies displayed outside. The action scene can be found at the end of the alley- stir frying of dishes, grilling of the Thai Pork Skewers, shaving of ice for Tub Tim Krob; all stalls are manned by Thai. For a moment, we thought we were dining in an alley at Hatyai, Thailand. The Pork-based menu is small and non-rice eaters will not find a space here. Most dishes are served with rice. We aimlessly walked into "Thai Shop", thinking that someone would attend to us but we were wrong. Diners who wish to dine in must place their orders at the alley first before finding a seat inside the shop; dine-in at the tables by the alley otherwise. Definitely a place not to be missed by Thai food devotees.

The burnt cheesecake here was more like a New York baked cheesecake (more dense), nevertheless it was still yummy. We got the set which comes with coffee (cake and coffee for RM15.90). A nice place to chill with a cuppa.

Surprise, surprise .. Gala House used to be a one-shop-lot size Cafe but now expended their business into two-shop-lot, where one is for you to enjoy your meal in a more family like setting while the other is a modern bar for you to enjoy your drinks, i find this combination kinda awesome

What's a better way to start the meal by having the Borscht Soup, the dish best represent Russia... Vkusno Dom's rendition has heaps of vegetables- Beet Root, Carrots, Tomatoes and some Beef. It was mildly seasoned, it relies heavily on the natural sweetness of the vegetables and meat. It was most comforting on its own but even better with a touch of Sour Cream... for that extra creaminess. Sour Cream seems like the magical touch here, it worked equally well with Vareniki, dumplings with Mushroom and Cheese filling. The skin was somewhat like Pasta... slightly chewy but in a delightful way; a dish best for sharing (might be a little flat for one to finish them entirely).

Uzbekian Lamb Plov RM20 Vkusno Dom serves up many mains and diners can try the Uzbekian Plov (briyani rice dish) that comes in two choices: lamb or chicken. We had the lamb version and its bold flavors are made even better with the accompanying special sauce. Alternatively, meat lovers can try the grill meat. Offerings include Uzbekian Grilled Lamb and the Kazakh Chicken Shashlik. Both meat are grilled on open fire, and served with bread and salad.

If you think Hot Pot would be heaty, greasy and full with Monosodium-Glutamate (MSG), you need to pay a visit to Flavor Food. The modest and rather invisible Hot Pot restaurant is a new addition to Pulau Tikus, well-tucked in one of the shop houses on the bustling Burmah Road (right next to Union Primary School). Flavor Food believes in extracting the natural wholesomeness of the ingredients and bold seasonings will not be seen here. Most ingredients are home-made and they are not a big supporter over processed food either. The fully air-conditioned restaurant has a chic but cozy atmosphere, most suitable for family occasion or casual dining. The observant would notice their sleek stone pot, specially designed to suit the theme. A Hot Pot restaurant with heavy Cantonese-roots it seems; but as far as quality and service are concerned, I'd definitely love to revisit.
