Lala Noodle @ Lai Foong, PuduSoup is pack with flavour, you can taste the rice wine, heat from the ginger, slightly fragrant from soy sauce, sweetness from the clamp. It is indeed a satisyfying bowl for your lunch. It would taste even better if it is on rainy day as a sip of the soup could keep your tummy warm.
Lai Foong Coffee Shop @ Tun H.S Lee – Fried Kuey Teow … ooo yesss !The Char Kuey Teow was really good. I can understand why many food bloggers rated Lai Foong to have one of the Top 10 Fried Kuey Teow in downtown KL. The noodles were well cooked and tasty, came accompanied with egg + cockles + fishcakes + Chinese sausages + lard + prawns + taugeh. Here, when you order LARGE, you’d get LARGE, Lots of noodles. I ate it all anyway since I was really hungry. Burp!
牛肉面 Beef Noodle @ 成记云吞面 Seng Kee Wan Ton Mee at 丽丰茶餐室 Kedai Kopi Lai Foong in KL Jalan Tun H.S.LeeI couldn't find the 上湯啦啦米粉湯 "La La noodle" at the smaller shop and quickly settled to Beef Noodles for dinner, a bit salty for my liking. Overall, just ok for me.
Lala Noodles @ Kedai Kopi Lai Foong, Petaling StreetTaste wise, just imagine rice vermicelli in a bowl of ‘xiong tong lala’ (superior clam soup) but with extra ginger and Shaoxing wine. It’s definitely more fragrant and spicier, so keep a pack of tissues ready before digging in. Anyway, despite what I said above about the lala and all, it is undeniable that this is still one of the better things to eat in the area.
Petaling street beef noodles
Lai Foong Beef Noodles near KL Chinatown 丽丰海南牛腩面Lai Foong is one of KL folks' favourite old school Hainanese beef noodles. I like it that Lai Foong's version is full of beefy goodness from the soup to the big chunks of belly meat. I enjoyed the old coffee shop feel at Lai Foong too.
Lala Noodles at Lai Foong RestaurantBy looking at the number of clams they gave me just made me happy! Most importantly, they were all fresh and sweet! The broth tasted a tad spicy due to the shredded gingers but it's okay. Some alcohol was also added to the broth to make it more flavorful, but I was hoping it to taste stronger. Overall, the soup was good, although it's not as addictive enough to make you take it sip after sip.

Purple Taste: Kedai Kopi Lai Foong 丽丰茶冰室 @ Petaling Street, Kuala Lumpur, MalaysiaOutstanding item, were the beef balls. Very dense, and as the Chinese likes to say, "bouncing off the teeth". The lean meat was thankfully, not too lean nor was it stringy. It was meaty, with a tiny bit of tendon. However, the tendon was not as soft as would've preferred. The tripe and omasum were winners with its super soft texture that had absorbed the light flavour of the broth. Quite yummy.
The Podanys | Welcome to our world: Beef Noodles @ Kedai Kopi Lai Foong - KL, MalaysiaHere is it! The famous beef noodles from Lai Foong. Mannnn, what I would do for a bowl of that now! Tender slices of beef and tendon, yummy beef balls, chopped salted mustard greens, cilantro and noodles in a hearty flavorful stock. Soooooooooo goood!
