There is a 20 minutes queue on Friday 9AM. Just take a number and have a stroll at the Kwai Chai Hong next door. The dried curry chicken (RM 12.90) and Curry Chee Cheong Fun (RM 5.80) is pretty..

Overall, it is good food at Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam Jalan Balai. Is it worth the long queue? Well, if you enjoy local food, great kaya butter toast and a cuppa of Cham, it is worth the queue. Don’t expect extra ordinary food but comfort food at Ho Kow Hainam Kopitiam Jalan Balai.
Curry Chee Cheong Fun is a bit of Ipoh style. Love the smooth, simple Chee Cheong Fun, served in a bed of rich, mildly spicy curry sauce, flavoured up with aroma of minced dried shrimp.
End with this classic Kaya Butter toast. A simple toast that you should not miss with a glass of Cham and half boil egg.
Love the smooth, simple chee cheong fan, served in a bed of rich, mildly spicy curry sauce, flavoured up with aroma of minced dried shrimp.
The Nasi Lemak Ayam Goreng was suggested to me by the kind lady who sat on the table next to us, seemed to be a regular patron and so, we took her advise. Glad we did. It was goooooood. As mentioned above, do remember to request for extra sambal though, the usual serving was hardly enough. The fried chicken either came in thigh or drumstick and since I am a sucker for more meat, lol – the thigh seemed ideal. It was tender, juicy, crispy and a perfect addition to the nasi lemak. Overall, a yummy dish.
和其他两家相比, 这里的人潮比较少, 若你不想排队等太久的话, 可以选择这里哦~
No fancy exterior, no excessive decoration, it's a humble hut. Toast with good fragrant kaya and butter, teh si, cham and soft-boiled egg.
