The hot tapas list features some substantial meaty items. The Stone Grilled Beef and Spicy Miso Lamb Rack are our favourites. Marinated well, the meat is tender and juicy, delicious to the last bite.
KOUZU @ BangsarWe also recommend Kouzu’s interesting version of pizza. Instead of the usual flour dough, the pizzas here are made with a crispy rice base and topped with exotic ingredients like wasabi, yuzo, miso and escargot! The Escargot Pizza is a one that I can eat over and over again.
KOUZU Bangsar Restaurant & Bar ~ Redefining Modern Japanese CuisineThis modern Japanese dining at it's best with one of the best-tasting dishes of the night ~ Avocado Miso Gratin priced at RM 26 only. Looking unassuming but with just one spoon you will be hooked.
I was quite reluctant to try this gooey dish but it was surprisingly delicious, well delivered with rich texture filled with seafood of scallop, shrimp, crab stick & nice little Ebiko with mushroom and nicely flavoured with miso. This dish gives you the comforts of like eating your mom's homecooked meal. I will come back for more!
KOUZU Bangsar - Modern Japanese DiningThe next dish is the Blue Fin Tuna & Foie Gras (RM29). This is a real classic example of marrying of an East Meets Wests dish. You would never have experienced this fusion. The Tuna was lightly an fried which still has the soft sashimi texture. The enclosed sauce is made out of apple chutney with unagi which went perfectly with both the ingredient.
Kouzu Bangsar, KL - Great, Affordable Japanese Fusion Restaurant & BarComfort food in a bowl, the Kouzu Don (RM29) was my favorite dish here, featuring sliced sirloin steak topped on rice with a beautifully runny onsen egg, crispy garlic, scallion and truffle teriyaki sauce. Chef Kaito tells us that he uses F1 beef (that's a cross between a fullblood Wagyu and another breed), which explains why the beef was so tender and delicious! The best thing we've eaten this month - I'd definitely return for this! (Pssst... beef don is also available for lunch at RM19.)
