Being a fan of Japanese food, I was happy to discover Machida Shoten at Japan Food Town in Wisma Atria Shopping Centre.
With such high accolades, I was pretty impressed with the Curry Tsukemen.
Machida Shoten was founded on the border Tokyo city of Machida in 2008 and has since became an influential global ramen player, having outlets from Los Angeles to New York City, and at the same time offering consulting services to other ramen-yas.
What we thought was pretty good were their shrimp gyozas. They contain only chunky pieces of shrimp. No pork or any vegetables. I thought they were pretty good. Will come back for them again.
Overall, Machida Shoten does a great job of providing very good food at a very reasonable price point.
香辣虾仁炒饭Spicy Shrimp Fried Rice($10)综合12种材料,芳香辛辣,完全迎合新加坡人的口味。
The decor of Machida Shoten Ramen was simply laid out. Two rows of tables and a small counter seating area around the glass enclosed kitchen.
Machida-Shoten Ramen is for the high salt tolerance. Though flavourful overall taste profile is in the bowl of hot-pipping ramen, it isn’t for everyone.
