The coconut shake is ok, with plenty of snacks. Visit when convenient, don't have high hope.
So far, berbaloi la mama rasa beratur selama 15 minit tu.

Satay celup is a unique food experience that can only be found in Melaka. It involves dipping a skewered food of your choice into this boiling hot pot of spicy peanut sauce right in the center of the table. And today we’ll be visiting one of the most famous spots in Melaka for Satay Celup called Ban Lee Siang.
*The few must-have ingredients based on our experience: brown squid, fried tofu skin, kangkung, pork ball, bacon slice, and quail eggs.
Tips from 食 La Vie; parking will be an issue during peak hour so be patient in finding one. Do not visit this restaurant if you are someone who is very concerned of hygiene issue. If you are someone who favor satay, we have a post of Kajang’s satay here.
That's frustrating for someone who loves his crabs and I decided to make a trip down to the UNESCO Malaysian city, with the primary objective of checking out this particular restaurant that my sister, and brother in law, had been raving about; Restoran Tong Sheng!
The place is very popular with locals, especially with the office crowd. Try to avoid peak hours. Baby chairs are available.

We didn’t dislike any of the dishes, but we weren’t excited by any of them either. It’s good home-style cooking, but it’s not going to blow your socks off. Service was efficient and the food came fast.
Verdict: With so many good reviews I’ve read online (some even said this is the best choice when comes to Nyonya dining in Melaka), my dining experience certainly wouldn’t make it the best Nyonya restaurant in Melaka. Perhaps I’ve order the wrong dishes. Food was just decent but did not mind-blowing and I’ve had a better Nyonya meal elsewhere. (Read THIS)
This little Nyonya restaurant is located at Melakaraya area. We went pretty late, about 2pm-ish and yet the queue is still long! Nevertheless, the wait was not that long. We observed that the dishes come within 10 minutes after sitting down, so most of the dishes may have already been prepared way earlier.
Chicken rice balls are one of the most fun (and delicious) foods to try when you visit Melaka in Malaysia - you should try them at Kedai Kopi Chung Wah Cafe
The dining place is just like any typical kopitiam with no aircon at all but the price of the foods are definitely cheaper and the foods are quite nice too.
What is so unique about this place? Well, is just that the rice had turn into round shape. Chicken is pretty normal and nothing to shout about.

Ranked 2 out of 548 restaurants in Malacca, this place is the worst kept secret in Malacca. Despite its high rank and popularity, the place still exudes its unique style and provides all patrons with space to relax and enjoy a moment of tranquil peace from the usual bustling craze outside its doors.
It has been a while since we posted Melaka food so this is one of the recent restaurant we visited this year. This is one of the hidden gems that is not popular with tourists. Low Yong Moh Dim Sum Restaurant opened since 1947 and it is one of the oldest restaurants in Melaka. They are located at 32, Jalan Tokong Melaka and they open daily for breakfast except Tuesdays. Low Yong Moh is owned by the Hakka from Fui Chiew.
Parsley Pork Dumpling – overall same as siu mai but have a strong flavor of parsley within the minced pork, taste-wise is great but still hate the super dried texture.
Still, its still a decent place for some food and a light breakfast.

Once I knew I was heading to Melaka for a short trip, the first thing on my mind was Cendol1!! Jonker 88 was my favourite since the first time I went when I was 14 years old. *10 years ago, I'm old.*
Food ordering is self service here at Jonker 88. Before you order, you need to find a table first. Then you also need to bring the food to your own table. The food is prepared pretty fast so even if there is a long queue, it won’t be a long wait.
We ordered the Jumbo Baba Laksa, which cost a bomb (RM 10++). When I am at Malacca, I normally opt for curry laksa, the one with coconut milk, and not the one akin to asam laksa, with kembung fish and dark clear soup. I absolutely love their laksa! I love the soup for its creaminess but it's not full of fats kind of creaminess.
We wrap up the whole meal with a plate of stir-fry cabbage RM3.00 (RM1.50 per head) since the lady boss highly recommends to us, just decided to have it since it was cheap and need to meet our fiber intake quota for that day. 😉 Guess our tongue was malfunctioning because we really felt that the stir-fried cabbage was the best dish we had throughout the meal (the first dish we cleared in Hoe Kee), cabbage has an irresistible crunchy texture and tend to be less greasy, super sweet and flavourful with a delightful scent of garlic – with this dish alone guess we can clear a plate of plain rice without any problem!
Price : 5.0 / 10 ( 1 – Expensive , 10 – Cheap) Taste : 7.0 / 10 ( 1 – Nightmare , 10 – Heaven). Service : 6.5 / 10 ( 1 – Terrible , 10 – Good) Environment : Restaurant Seats Availability : Very limited but short waiting time Parking : Very limited
Hoe Kee Chicken Rice, a popular destination for Hainanese Chicken Rice Balls.
Its a nice place and once again Thank You the owner for being so nice allowing us to chip in after his operating hours. I really favor nyonya food therefore my choice of selection is quite particular so may not be the best Nyonya food that I have tried but definitely is one of the famous in Malacca that you can tried some local taste with reasonable price. Rating: 6.8 /10
Finally here comes our long-awaited main dish, The Sambal Udang Petai RM19.00 featuring stir-fry prawn and bitter bean in hot sauce. The overall dish tastes rather spicy, has an irresistible sweet and sour flavor, a perfect dish that will make you enjoy another bowl of rice in no time! 😉

This place is way too popular, we came before the shop opened and was the first batch to went in. Service is great, food is good and the environment is nice. So it is popular for good reasons.

The pasta, which has spaghetti with mushroom, chicken ham and crunchy smoked duck topped with a poached egg and shaved parmesan, is delicious. The noodles are cooked al dente, giving them a nice bite, and the sauce is creamy without being overwhelming.

Pork Satay – Smoky rich filled with lemongrass flavor, have a balanced amount of meat and lard on the skewer, highly recommended.
When it comes to food in Melaka, there are two things Jien would absolutely, never share with me. The first being his favourite fried carrot cake and the other is pork satay. These are two Melaka staples that he would insist on eating whenever we’re there. We drove past Sun…
Cendol is okay, just opposite the Dutch Square.
Is the Famous Putu Piring Tengkera Melaka worth the visit? It is definitely must visit and must try. Go early to avoid the long queue and RM 1.30 is worth it as you pay for quality food. The over 30 years old Putu Piring is well up to their reputation.
The Famous Putu Piring Melaka Jalan Tengkera
There are other options that are just as good or better, but Huang Chang has always been one of my go to spots.
No offense to people who love Huang Chang Chicken Rice and willing to queue for it, but personally I think it’s terrible. In fact, the worst chicken rice I have ever had in Melaka. From what I understand, many people recommend this place because it’s cheaper than the rest. But cheaper does not mean a lot here because it’s not like you can eat and get out in a jiffy. The restaurant is stuffy too and definitely not comfortable for families with kids.
During beratur tu, korang dah boleh usha menu apa nak makan. Bayar lepas order kat depan tu jugak. Servis laju. Jangan risau eh? Kebetulan perut memang dok lapar ni. Here is my verdict, nasi ayam kepal ni rasanya biasa. By the way, ayam diperap lembut, and sup fish ball tu simple.
Overall semua not bad.Sedap pun sedap.Cuma umi tak rasa dia punya sup tu jelah.Kang order bebanyak tak habis pulak.
Kedai makannya senang nak cari, guna Waze aje.
We start off with a plate of water-boiled soft shell clam aka Lala RM3.00 which serves like 10-12 pieces of fresh clams on each plate. The clam flesh is big, tender, sweet and juicy, great enough to savor plain and it gives even more kicks (flavourful and spicy) while dipping into the soy and chili sauce.
The first night, we decided check out the Longkang Siham, loosely translated as blood cockles by the drain. This is a back alley that is famous for cheap and fresh seafood, where patrons sit on tin…
