To our surprise, the Capitol satay sauce tastes gratifying and has a way thicker nutty blend compare to other satay celup which we tried before, not hard to understand why there are so many diners dying for their satay celup. Well too bad in our case, as it keeps gives us a chill in the spine on each bite worrying that we might get severe diarrhea on the next morning! 😉

As we ate, restaurant staff came over occasionally, to add more sauce or to stir the pot so that stuff didn’t stick to the bottom. The peanut sauce was fragrant, with a sweet and nutty flavour. I especially liked the bacon-wrapped enoki mushroom.

Coconut Milk Shake Special RM2.50 The overall taste is considered okay, smooth chilling and creamy in one go, you can even savor some shreds of coconut bits while slurping the milkshakes – We literally just take a few sips then have to say pass on this local famous beverage due to those disturbing dark stains all around the glasses, very much worried about their hygiene level since they simply just serve us pre-made coconut milkshake straight from the freezer, so folks it’s up to you to decide.

To me, this coconut shake here is average. Oh yes, I can taste the coconut water and also some of the shredded coconut flesh. Of course the vanilla ice cream does the trick of enchanting the taste and sweetness. Personally, I still prefer the normal plain fresh coconut water straight from the nut and the soft young flesh where I can have fun scooping it up with a spoon!

This little Nyonya restaurant is located at Melakaraya area. We went pretty late, about 2pm-ish and yet the queue is still long! Nevertheless, the wait was not that long. We observed that the dishes come within 10 minutes after sitting down, so most of the dishes may have already been prepared way earlier.

We initially ordered one poh piah (RM3) - after tasting the first one, we immediately placed an order for another one as it was so GOOD! The popiahs here are made fresh to order.
