The dumplings with soup that was packed separately ($6.40 for a small portion with 6 dumplings) was as good as always. I think this could be our default choice of chicken rice takeaway or delivery if we can’t think of anything else better.
The chicken rice at Wee Nam Kee United Square continues to consistently good. The other dishes at the restaurant are just as interesting as the main attraction.
I really like the dumplings and their rice is not bad though.

Overall, a satisfying lunch at Wee Nam Kee Chicken Rice (United Square). Most of the items performed well, especially the rice. The chicken was not so impressive that day.
Overall it was a delicious lunch which also felt easy on our wallets, as we only spent $12 for this meal. If there was anything worth nit-picking I would say it’s the chicken soup which tasted a tad sweet for our liking. Although Tian Tian Hainanese Chicken Rice remains my top choice for chicken rice in Singapore, at least you don’t have to queue here and you get to enjoy an air-conditioned environment too.
