Popular Ngoh Hiong Prawn Cracker in Taman Jurong Hawker Center.
Popular Minced Meat Noodles Stall in Taman Jurong. Just too bad that they are not open during the evenings, else I can have them every day or frequently.
The review that they get are really accurate. It is a good bowl of Lor Mee. The gravy is so flavorful and outstanding. Then all the other items are very well done too.
Not sure about the hype over here but there are also nicer BBQ Seafood out there in the West. If you said they are one of its kind among the stalls in the hawker, well... its not. It's time to explore other stalls in Taman Jurong Food Centre too.
This is one of my favourite rojak stalls since 12 years ago when Taman Jurong Market was located else where. This particular stall sells only Rojak and nothing else - Specialized!
Love their style of Western Food and I can see that I will return here for other dishes.
The grandmother's lor mee is buay pai too if you appreciate your lor mee without additional aromatics.
This $4 bowl is value for money and can actually be shared among two however, I would recommend getting the smaller bowls.
The springy noodle is tossed in a sauce with a subtle savoriness that pleases my palate. The chili, in particular, possesses a umami flavor that elevates the taste of the noodle. Service here is prompt and efficient but perhaps that is because I arrived just before the lunch crowd does.
What stood out for me had to be the noodle and tossing sauce. Although the mee pok was a little on the softer side, it still had a bite and it picked up the savory sauce pretty well. The chili is also aromatic with a manageable spice level.
