Overall, the dishes I had at FOC Restaurant are very good. Strong flavours in general, coupled with a vibrant dining vibe.
The restaurant's just as buzzy, and crazy popular as before, so be sure to make reservations before going down.
Overall, our lunch at FOC Singapore was an enjoyable experience.
Here's a cafe that's relatively off the grid - at least by today's standards where information about any and every business is readily available online. When it first opened its doors, RONIN Cafe was one of those "hidden finds" with little to no reviews, and no website or social media presence to...
Overall, I felt that the place is more for coffee lover and nothing much about the food as menu was not extensive for us.
Their signature minted mocha is a perfect balance of minty and chocolaty. Coffee not very strong.
Their broths taste very clean and are very flavorful – there’s so much umami in there and you can tell it’s naturally built-in, without any artificial stuff.
Despite not imposing a service charge, Long Qing’s service is more on point that its mass-brand competitors.
a great place to hang out over some bar bites and small eats with some cocktails at the table without having to purposely dress up for the occasion.
All in all, a really great place for a close-enough South American experience. Place was not too crowded on a weekday evening, and service was impeccable and warm.
Having had a meal at Bacchanalia before the revamp when they already had one Michelin Star, I’d say they might be in the running for a 2nd star.
The revamp of the space at Bacchanalia is a refreshing change for me. I like that the space is better designed where you can enjoy different dining ambience based on your mood. The dishes are generally good, though the hefty price tag will be a serious consideration to return.
Another area I thought could have been more polished was the narrative. Not that the service staff was any bad, but some were more engaging and looked sincere when introducing the dishes, whereas others who rushed through looked like they treated it as part of their daily job.
For what it's worth, Teepee Bar and restaurant serves as an idyllic den for escapism from the world and indulgence of the burger sort.
There is a Sendakan stall right next to Jiakali at Chinatown Complex Food Centre (335 Smith Street #02-254), where I grabbed this fried pork hor fun.

Every item was good, with the only exception being the noodles having a slight kee or alkaline flavour, although this was made up for by the outstanding sauce made of dried shrimps and kelp.
Maxwell Food Centre is one of those rare hawker centers in Singapore that is highly popular with tourists and at the same time, is held in high esteem by locals for its authentic and traditional hawker dishes. The main reason for this is that Maxwell Food Centre is the current home of a myriad of...…
A trip to Maxwell to da bao brought us to some of our favorites and some new experiences too. China Street Fritters and their Ngoh Hiang, Liver Rolls, Egg Slice and Sausage with Bee Hoon.
Nice. The rendang was nutty and lemak
Here was the yuxiangqiezi from Birds of a Feather, a place that I haven't been back to in ages. The dishes were dressed up with lots of fancy garnishes; their barramundi chazuke was more upscale (complete with a theatrical presentation) compared to the one at Sichuan Alley.
Birds Of A Feather 2022 115 Amoy Street #01-01 https://www.birdsofafeather.com.sg/ Pork Dumplings (SGD $17)
Overall, this is the first time I came to BOF and I totally enjoyed the food here. Instead of the overpowering spicy Sichuan cuisine, most of the dishes have been well thought out, multi-layered yet balanced, delicious and well-executed.

The Coconut Club 必點美食有椰漿飯,半熟蛋、花生、黃瓜、魚乾及叄巴醬,主食是用香料醃製的炸雞,外酥內軟一點都不柴,整體椰香濃郁好吃
Dishes are generally still good, though prices have also gone up as with most establishments in Singapore.
The highlight was the Nasi Lemak so we ordered the signatures and side dishes to try for 5 of us.
Overall, if you are a lobster or seafood lover, the Lobsterfest is definitely a buffet you should visit to get a feast on endless lobster. You have 1 more day to visit after seeing my post or maybe you can start planning to visit for next year’s Lobsterfest
All festive buffet options include unlimited chilled juices, soft drinks, coffee and tea. Dinners include an additional complimentary glass of festive welcome drink.
LIME Restaurant serves up a resplendent a la carte buffet feast, perfect for a hearty reunion in celebration of the Lunar New Year.
Famous Treasure Chinese restaurant opened at the Capitol Singapore mall in 2018, taking over the space formerly occupied by the Four Seasons Chinese Restaurant.
Family dinners always have a lot of food, and we had one at Famous Treasure. Deep Fried Pork Belly with Fermented Bean Curd was crispy and definitely decadent. Half a Roasted Duck, which was tender…
Famous Treasure at Capitol Piazza is the atas version of outlet.
That looked and tasted much better than it sounded, with that super tender pork belly covered in a velvety yet light sauce over distinct grains of rice.
If I can just get past my guilt, then I might come here more often given the good quality of ingredients that they use in these Inflation Menu dishes.
The Inflation Menu item at The English House today was this fish pie, which was delicate and easy to eat. It turns out that they also have wine by the glass on the Inflation Menu too.
I am not sure if I've been here before, but it;s one of those large Cantonese restaurants serving banquets over multiple courses (65 Chulia Street #33-01, 6536-7833). That included that braised abalone and sea cucumber platter above, as well as that roast duck and steamed fish in the background.
I have been to at least 4 other outlets of Peach Garden Chinese Restaurant for their dim sum buffet and a la carte Chinese dishes buffet. A notable household name in Singapore, many Chinese families will choose Peach Garden as their venue for weddings or birthday celebrations. Serving authentic Cantonese cuisine, Peach Garden has strong accolades from publications like Singapore Tatler and Wine and Dine
A must-have delicacy for the Chinese New Year, the Black & White Sesame Nian Gao is soft and chewy with a very subtle hint of black sesame.
Like Shabu Shabu, beat the egg and dip your meat and vegetables into the beaten egg mixture for a complete sukiyaki experience.
Tamoya Udon is known for its silky udon handmade fresh daily with ingredients imported from Japan.
Tonjiru Onsen Udon (house-made Red Miso soup) is slightly sweet but yet it was so yummy.
The cabinet food is still there if you just want a really quick and light bight, but what you really ought to do is to order from the menu.
Almost every element of the dishes is made from scratch and using wild fermentation techniques that span from days to months.
Another dessert that you should really try was their Tiramisu ($9). The alcohol taste in this tiramisu wasn't strong and they added those little chocolate crunch balls for extra texture.
