Barramundi Fish & Chips, 44 ringgit The fish and chips sure was good, finger lickin good. It was fresh, juicy, crunchy … yumm! I liked the fact that the batter did not separate from the fish when it was cut into? A lot of eateries serve crispy fish and chips but once you cut into it, the crispy outer layer falls off, which tends to get annoying after a while. You would already be dealing with the fact that the plate is all greasy and slippery and then, rather than enjoying the dish, you would have to busy yourself trying to make sure with every fork full of fish, you are also able to scoop a little bit of that crispy outer layer. Get what I mean? It does tend to get frustrating. Good thing is does not happen here though. It was perfect here. I’d say that they sure did live up to their name, literally the best fish and chips I’ve tasted in a while. I’ve got to thank my friend for insisting that I have lunch here. “Best fish and chips in town”, he said and I do agree.
Known for one of the better fish & chips in town, it was certainly a decent fish & chips....just not as magnificent as it should be...for the price we paid! The food prices here are on the higher end, for sure, and the clientele on this street seems to be mostly expatriates and tourists staying in the area who want to chow down on some food and then soak in the night life by going pubbing and clubbing till the wee hours of the morning. The place seems more suitable for the younger/singles generation, if you ask me (like TREC KL)...not feeling the family vibe ^_* With cut-throat parking rates and parking being a nightmare, I'm not sure if I'll want to come back to this area (even if the food was decent)! >_<
In short, Dilrubar in Changkat, KL, is a restaurant that mixes traditional Indian flavors with modern twists. Their new lunch set is proof of their commitment to tasty food. From the spicy and tangy drinks to the flavorful main courses and yummy extras, every part of our meal left us happy.
So we are here at the most happening nightlife area in KL for some drinks and we manage to discover a new establishment along Changkat Bukit Bintang – Fire and Ice. It is a two-storey bar cum club where we can enjoy the best of live music, great cocktails and contemporary food under one roof.
The upper deck plays house music every Friday and Saturday for those who’d prefer a classier area to party in. Of course, good music and drinks always come hand in hand with good food here. And they have something great for us in conjunction to the U.S. Fries Fiesta! The limited-time menu features 2 specially-curated dishes that feature the premium U.S. imported potato fries in different presentations. First to wow us is the juicy thick beef burger loaded with a side of curly fries. To be honest, I hardly see any burger chains in Malaysia seeing curly fries anymore and I am glad to see this classic U.S. style burger and fries here! Huge in portion and soul-comforting. This special U.S. Fries Fiesta menu in Nevermine Pub and Bistro is available from 15 June 2017 to 31 July 2017.
Reasons to visit The Italian Market: Mouthwatering imported cheeses and cold cut meats; traditional, quality Italian dishes including freshly baked lasagna every two or three days; refreshing Aperol Spritz to cool you down on those hot Kuala Lumpur days.
The Thai Loy Krathong Festival buffet spread will be available at Lemon Garden, Shangri-La Hotel, Kuala Lumpur from 7 to 17 November 2019

Move on to Western mains, Roasted Duck Marinated with Orange – the highlight in this festive buffet, comes in sight. Crispy skin, succulent meat, laced with mild citrusy hints of orange. Do check out Cheese Souffle with Onion Cream and Pumpkin Pie with Walnut Crust from the same counter, they are also must-haves in this eat-all-you-can.
As the guest chef responsible for the Japanese-Australian Epicurean Affair menu for the hotel’s #DinewithChef series (24 August to 3 September), Fong then proceeded to guide Harris on the sushi-making masterclass.
Thirty8 is famous for its incredible view, overseeing the city skyline of Kuala Lumpur and The twin towers, while sipping on your tea, hanging out with your friends or family, and have some dessert.
Overall, THIRTY8 offers one of the best views of the KL cityscape. However, we found the food to be hit-or-miss. In summary – come for the view, but temper your expectations for the food.
Overall, I do say this place does live up to the hype.
For example we really like this Unagi Bao RM28. Small in size, big in flavours. Spicy, succulent unagi contrasted by crunchiness of deep fried nori, flavours lifted up with salted egg crumble and julienne cucumber for a refreshing crisp that comes in just right. Served over a basket of sweet potato chips.
THE LINGUIST (MYR 30) Sautéed Prawns and Clams with Chili Linguine, Garlic and Rocket Huge and fresh prawns were spotted!
Service is slow, food is nice, price is above average. Value for money item would be Fried Chicken and Curry Rice. Cheese cake with cream is pretty good.
Overall, the high cost of the meal (RM268 for 2.5 diners) wasn’t matched by the quality of food, so I don’t think I am likely to return in the near future. On the other hand, if I could get away with just having three courses of dessert, I might change my mind.
YURI / Matcha 6th Avenue Cheesecake! Priced at RM21, this is exclusively made available at The Tokyo Restaurant, Isetan The Japan Store, Lot 10. We personally prefer this to the original now as it has the right balance of sweetness together with the matcha. So velvety smooth and tasty!
Thanks to the friendly staff for recommending this Sup Ekor. So good! A hearty portion of tummy-warming, flavourful oxtail broth, richly seasoned with a bouquet of house spices, topped with celery cress and crispy shallot.
Reasons to visit Shook! The Starhill Dining: stylish new digs; menu catering to a variety of tastes; Dancing Prawns; grill menu; cocktails from The Alchemy; although wine by the glass is not particularly impressive their vertical collection of Chateau Mouton Rothschild dating back to the 1940s is worth at least a little envy.
The comprehensive spread of authentic Malay dishes includes all-time favourites such as Rendang Daging ‘Tok’, Ikan Patin Masak Tempoyak, Nasi Briyani, Sup Ekor and Bubur Lambuk

Every dish stood on its own merit, featuring layers of flavours and textures. Short of gushing, I can never get enough of EI’s food as every single dish is cooked with precision, making this a culinary dream to remember. Prices start from RM88/pax to RM368/pax.
The revisit to Concorde Hotel KL famous dim sum is rewarding. The quality of the food and the ambiance of the place remains the same after so many years. For the pricing of their dim sum, it is similar to some Chinese banquet restaurant price and on par or cheaper than some dim sum restaurants in other hotels in KL. In short, visiting Concorde Hotel KL famous dim sum will not disappoint you.
Chef Wong takes on a bold approach with the Steamed Soon Hock with Nyonya Sauce (RM30 per 100gm). The fish is smothered in a piquant and spicy Nyonya sauce that is redolent of spices and herbs. Although the sauce is robust and heavy in flavours, one can still taste the sweetness of the firm and tender flesh of the Soon Hock fish. The dish beckons for a bowl of steamed rice as the sauce is moreish and addictive.
Fruity Yee Sang (small): pistachio, pomelo, chia seed, wax apple (jambu air), dried cranberry, white dragon fruit, dried blueberry, jackfruit, grape, deep fried dough, mandarin orange, pomegranate, pumpkin seeds, snow pear, apple, peanut, and carrot. Tasty and refreshing! MYR 108 nett

Flavours were sweet and clear in most of the dishes, as what Hongkong-style does: allowing the natural goodness of ingredients to shine. With wellness very much in mind, the dishes are well executed with minimal use of oil and hard flavouring
Reasons to visit Shang Palace KL: attractive, traditional setting; warm hospitality; fresh ingredients; delicious Peking duck.
Shangri-La Hotel Kuala Lumpur is one of the most prominent hotels in the capital city.
While prices are steep, it makes up for quality and would definitely be a well-deserved treat.
Healthier mooncake selections include Snow Skin Shiro Umeboshi With Green Tea Paste and Baked Bamboo Charcoal Paste With Salted Egg Yolk would go well with the health-conscious customers.
Durian lovers can indulge in the second offering which is the Snow Skin Durian Paste With Truffle
Steamed Cod with Chinese Ham Served with Honey and Supreme Stock Paste The generous portion of the cod comes perfectly good to our tastebuds. The cod is perfectly steamed together with the Chinese Ham bringing you the aromatic flavours . The dish is just awesomely good where the fish remains its flaky texture but the flavours are enhanced by the Chinese Ham as well as Supreme Stock Paste.
The Living Room of The Westin Kuala Lumpur is ushering in the year of the Dragon with a spread of festive favourites symbolic of wealth and prosperity…

One of these eateries, The Living Room, serves as the all-day dining restaurant.
One of the must try is their Smoked Lamb Ribs (RM 98.00 nett). One can enjoy the 360g of Lamb Ribs which is beautifully smoked with the hickory wood, and then seasoned with their signature spice blend and then glazed with their house-made barbecue sauce and grilled till perfection. The meat comes awesomely delicious and tender which makes it heavenly with no gammy smell in it. And what’s more is they are sides with the seasoned fries and fresh vegetables. Yummz !
食物美味不在话下,价格乍看之下感觉好像贵了些,但看到份量的时候就觉得还好了。
One Night in Bangkok Spicy Shrimp This dish was a favorite of mine. There were medium sized prawns coated in spicy sauce with a nice amount of sesame seeds and green onions sprinkled on it. You do not need to worry about the sauce being too hot – it wasn’t. It somewhat resembled the reddish orange sauce commonly used to coat Korean Fried Chicken?? The difference here is the flavor itself. First, the mild spicyness will hit you, immediately followed by short burst of sour tanginess. I think a drizzle of lemon zest was added too. It was delicious. If it wasn’t for the others being around, I’d most probably ‘hantam’ it all by myself but since that was not the case, ‘kena jaga imej’ right? Lol.

Originated from Seoul, Chir Chir (치르치르) is the largest fried chicken chain in Korea with over 100 stores in China, Taiwan, Indonesia, Singapore, and Malaysia.
Honey Butter Chicken (RM24.90) A highly addictive dish which I agree with crispy boneless fried chicken chucks with potato wedges and rice cakes, tossed with honey butter sauce and seasoning.
Started with this Rose Cheese Chiqueen, a cheesy chicken platter that’s going to become cheese lovers’ new favourite! Fried chicken tenders stacked over a bed of fondue cheese, topped with chunky potato wedges and cherry tomatoes, further heaped with mozzarella sauce.
