这里的菜式份量蛮大的,价格算是中等。招牌的上汤蒸鱼还挺有特色的,难怪每天都有那么多人上门光顾了。
If you are in Puchong looking for something unique to try, I would recommend Restoran Kari Kepala Ikan Tiga. They are the creator of this steamed fish dish called Specialty Steamed Seafood King that’s also topped with sea prawns, clams and squid. The taste is very similar to ‘Siong Tong Lala’ as they use the same fish bone soup base. In fact, you can think of it as ‘Siong Tong Lala’ added with fish and squid.
Curry fish head is one of the two signature dishes in this shop served under a burner and its taste was awesome, the curry flavour is strong and creamy. I love it.
It was after a Sunday morning leisure ride at Putrajaya, a friend recommended this restaurant for a fish head delicacy and off we went to this place without any difficulty of course with the aid of waze apps. We were early and the first customers of the day. The front of the shop has a big aquarium with a variety of live fishes to choose.
Verdict: Restoran Kari Kepala Ikan Tiga is famous for its Curry Fish Head and Steamed Fish Head. For 5 dishes with drinks and rice, the meal for 6 pax cost about RM200. The service is fast and the quality of food is good. The price were reasonable too. I don’t mind visiting this place again for good seafood and fish.
On top of that we ordered the homemade signature tofu, long beans, curry fish head and sweet & sour pork. Signature tofu topped with spring onions and deep fried shallots was nice. The tofu was smooth and pudding-like texture. Whereas for the long beans, it was cooked perfectly. Not too raw and not too soft.
As a result of all those seafood, the rather concentrated superior soup tasted fantastic, it was super sweet and absolutely savoury. The fish tasted good, and the squid super fresh as well. By the way, you can also top up the soup ala bak kut teh style, but we felt that the first serving tasted better than the top-ups.
My aunt ordered a few dishes to eat with rice. Steamed Fish & Prawns, Chicken-ala-Thai, Signature Tofu, Sweet & Sour Pork & Kangkung Belacan. I have to admit, the food there is flavourful and the portion is generous. Will definitely revisit that place again in near future........
Lil's hubby mentioned that his must order each time he visit Kari Kepala Ikan Tiga is the sweet and sour pork "ko lo yok". One bite and I knew that I would return for this dish in our next visit. Lightly fried and coated with tasty tomato ketchup, this isn't just a dish for kids. This is a happy dish for us adults too. The meat is lightly battered that you actually bite into some light crisp and be greeted by flavourful tender meat. Yes its definitely more pork than batter!
The service was pretty good and the delivery time of the dishes was quite efficient. Price was reasonable with the bill came to RM 150 including drinks. They had six other different outlets and I listed them below too. Will definitely dropped by again!
