Pretty good, no complaints about the food. This place is fairly crowded, so can't stay long and have some minimum orders.
My favorite is definitely their Signature Iron Lady Milk Tea Kakigori. The earthy flavor of tie guan yin tea pairs surprisingly well with milk and the chewy tapioca pearls, yam mochi and sweet potato mochi are just the right amount of 'QQ'. The chewy trio are all flavorful individually and the brown sugar syrup is surprisingly not too sweet.
Ambiance: 6/10 Price: 6/10 Food: 6.5/10 (pork-free) Verdict: Definitely a spot to consider if you’re into shaved ice desserts. Try the Iron Lady Milk Tea and Classic Grass Jelly.
A Pie Thing is your answer to savoury and sweet pies in Petaling Jaya. This OG pie shop serves beef, chicken, lamb, and veggie pies, and the best Lemon Curd pie in town.
Taste:8/10(Good. I satisfied with the taste of the chicken mushroom pie here however I think they can still improve on the taste of the crust).
The Mashacre version consists of mashed Potatoes, Sweet Peas and laden with smooth, luscious gravy. The choice of our Pie was Chicken Masala... carefully cooked and seasoned Chicken Masala filling encased in a flaky, buttery pastry skin. We were worried if the combination would turn out to be overly salty but to our surprise, it was well-seasoned on the dot. We thought it was very filling but had to leave some space for their sweet varieties
Serve the best toast with ice-cream.
8.5/10. Personally, a little bit steep in price, but I absolutely love it! The taste of the desserts always keeps me coming back for more. To be honest, I’m always shocked by how good that Matcha lava cake is, and the toast NEVER disappoints!
Miru's Strawberry Cheesecake Kakigori was impressive... the ice was silky smooth and fine while the Strawberry 'syrup' was carefully sweetened. It did not feel very 'artificial' and we trust real Strawberries have been used in the making of the 'syrup'. Just as you dig further and getting monotonous on the 'syrup' and 'shave ice' combo, there will be cubed Cheese Cake to further entice you. Though not exactly the best Cheese Cake, it provides a good bite and a fine touch to the icy treat.
If you're a person who likes soya beans, you can pay Soylab 帅不离 a visit.
Tasty but premium soy based dessert, could get crowded after weekend dinner.
We were further blown away by the Signature Soyffle; though it required a 30-minute wait, we thought the wait was worth while. The Souffle Pancake was extremely light and fluffy; good on its own but even better (or richer) to enjoy with Soya Soft Serve (and a little bit of Honey).
Eventually, we opted to try one of the dessert on display, specifically Lucky Koi. The combination of ingredients in this specific dessert (oolong rice ice cream + peach sorbet + goji berry muesli crunch + lychee glaze) was appealing and yummy. There was a burst of flavors and textures – the tanginess from the berries, the crunch from the muesli and the unique sweetness from the creamy ice cream. We enjoyed it.
Overall, it's a really cool dessert place.
Top-notch, one of the best ice cream I had in 2019. "Delicieux" in French!
After a satisfying dinner at Super Big Don House, we dropped by Softsrve for dessert
Fun Fair (RM12), with oolongcha flavoured soft serve. We weren't really expecting the dry ice smoking effects as I thought that it was only for bestsellers. It was cool though, and the popping candy really gave it the extra tingle.
Something a little more solid would be the Crispy and Fluffy Waffle (RM 15) which by the way isn’t the best waffle ever but managed to redeemed its reputation with none other than their soft serve and sauce of your choice (in this case is match sauce since WendLi , the matcha queen is one of the partner in crime this time around). This one is served with chopped nuts and berries.
Butter Chicken Rice was superb. I requested to have it spicy and the chef nailed it. Perfectly fried chicken cooked in lip-smacking butter sauce. YUM!! * Must try in Wondermilk. Butter Chicken Rice @ RM 16.90
I would highly recommend the Mo Better Butterscotch and the John Lemon – washed down with the cafe’s delicious raspberry soda is a plus. All of the items on the menu are available for take away. However, if you’s really like to take back home something special from Wondermilk, it has got to be their scrumptious cookie jars!
Overall, Wondermilk is a very relaxing and cozy corner that one can spend an entire evening with a bunch of friend. Or even just yourself, Wondermilk is also a very great cafe for you to “meditate”. Some more the price of the cupcake is reasonable since all are creative and fresh made. By the way, if you would like to make special order for party or event, Wondermilk accept order too, further details, you may find here.
For warm food, we had Chicken Bulgogi Sandwich @ RM 15.90. Love the marination and sauces of Bulgogi. Not too strong yet pairs well with some light dressing on the top and it is a great sandwich for some quick bite.
特別推薦 Tiramisu 冰酥,店家特別調製的芝士奶油搭配濃縮咖啡和冰沙,香香苦苦甜甜,讓人吃在嘴裡,涼在身上,甜在心裡!
Overall, this is indeed a Korean cafe that is selling good Bingsu. I will definitely come back again for other flavors.
Sorry for my bad memory! I can't recall the exact price. I remember it is RM20++. The ice cream was a little sweet for me- I prefer matcha ice cream with more bitter taste. The waffle is the bomb - crispy on the outside, fluffy on the inside. =3
Price & Service: 3/5 Ambient: 3/5 Food & Beverages: 3.5/5
So, recommended? Definitely YES. Already eager to try out their toast in next visit. Also wonder when will Yin & Yang ^ square (4 colours) will be launched. Hahaha. Staffs are polite and attentive despite the crowd =D. Shugatori is located same row with Softsrve> The Good Batch > Nara but towards the end of the road.
Marshmallow Hot Chocolate is sweet, creamy, dreamy flavors. I loved it and it's a must try in the Molten Chocolate Cafe. For me, its a best Marshmellow Hot Chocolate I had in a while. Marshmallow Hot Chocolate @ RM 16
Cafe dia OK. Service pun padu. Cosy cafe with great ambiance.
Chocolate Cube Brownies The Molten Master Chocolate RM17.00 is another scrumptious affordable option (without the sizzling plate and bitter taste). This delightful masterpiece gives a sensational hot and cold taste at the same time which able to melt everyone’s heart.
Chocolate Salted Caramel Cookies, 11.90 ringgit I decided to give the ‘room temperature-ish’ cake a go rather than the chilled version because I was in the mood for something moist and dense. Did I get it though? Yeeessss!! It was everything I wanted – thick, dense, texture variant. So, I’d say the cakes here comes somewhat cheap, good value for money. As for this specific cake, they sure do dribble loads of salted caramel sauce on the top, so much so that when you cut into the cake vertically, you’d be able to taste the sauce in every mouth you’d take. I loved it! Then, it followed by layer after layer of moist and dense cookie and chocolate. It was all layered with just the right amount of thickness that the tasted from the top to the bottom was in sync. Delicious.
Salted cookie chocolate was yummy as usual. Moist and rich chocolate cake with salted cookie taste was yum. Chocolate + Salted Cookie is the perfect combo for me. Salted cookie chocolate @ RM 11.90
Overall the environment here is nice and comfortable. It was a nice place to chill out with my friend. However, I was a bit disappointed with the drink and cake though. Perhaps I should give it another try since I have yet to try out their other selection of drinks and cakes. Any suggestion?
Taste:9/10(Delicious. I like their watermelon with assam boi tart, chocolate calamansi and the bubur cha cha dessert. Good taste combination. Their breads are good as well especially the preserved olive leaf sour dough and brioche. I have been coming here for few times to try their different desserts and so far they are good at maintaining the quality and taste. The best part is the owner is always around and passionate on the desserts that he created. The service here is good as well)
Overall, the price for cakes is slightly steep for RM 17 per piece. is for you to try it out yourself. Personally, desserts in Malaysia have yet got me excited as ingredients are not cheap. Got asked on if to compare to others such as Xiao, Tiny Tempress or others, I have no idea as have yet try on those where feedback for both of them neither impressive.
At barely a few weeks old, this new dessert parlor have gathered quite a bit of a hype - it was bustling with dessert purveyors, leaving barely any desserts behind - literally. Frankly speaking, with a supposed closing time of 10pm, I was very surprised at the rationing of desserts on display. Nevertheless for me, I got the best of the last, before they sold out and closed, at 5pm. I have to note too, that Mad Hatter Desserts came with a reputation. Spearheaded by MasterChef Asia runner-up, Marcus Low, who is known for his immaculate dessert-making skills, I was exceedingly excited to try out some of his expertly handcrafted desserts. Admittedly also, I'm a fan of the MasterChef franchise and so was my mum - a hopeless addict. Reminder to self: I have to bring my mum here one day.
The Chili Crab was as real as it gets. The gelato was sweet and spicy at the same time. You’d be able to taste the chili. The taste itself was amazing, the different textures were soo realistic, its rather mind blowing. I don’t know how they managed to do it but there was something in there that actually resembled crab meat. So, you’d get the creamy, milky gelato with generous bits of ‘crab’ meat. Amazeballs, yawww.
Got to try their steak & cheese pie and chicken mushroom pie, tasted so good and the moment you cut the pie, the smell is so fragrance and looks so mouth-watering inside the pie.
The proof is in the pudding – or on a waffle in this instance. Fragrant, smooth and creamy, the Earl Grey lived up to its reputation and was one of the best I’ve had. Subtle yet sublime, it struck a fine balance between tea and dessert, especially when perched on a crisp batter that was lightly crusty on the outside, and soft and slightly chewy inside
After lunch at Super Thai, we went to Tsujiri for dessert. Chiffon Parfait O-Matcha at MYR16.90 nett and Signature O-Matcha hot drink (not sweet at all) at MYR15 nett.
Tsujiri is an established green tea brand from Japan with over 155 years of heritage. It originates from Kyoto Japan. One thing undeniable about them is their green tea ice cream which is really soothing and healthy as well.
Not just parfait, cake roll and soft serve ice cream cone only...they have too many too be listed so I will definitely be back for their other varieties which are O-matcha cappuccino, sundae, shaved ice, genmaicha, Uji Kintoki, Kinako Kuromitsu and many more.
If you would like a great place for a good supper, be it alone or with a group of friends, I (do) highly recommended BingSu Cafe! I really do! BingSu Cafe offers variety choices of bingsu to suits your personal choice.
Food rating 8/10 , loving it. Recommended! -Stamped-
Verdict: A very serene and calm place to have a Japanese style high tea or an affordable lunch
It was a good dessert for us. Their TINY, CUTE Dessert manages to impress me with their taste and presentation. Second Visit? Sure, to try their beverages in the future.
This place is quite colorfully decorated to compensate for the rather small space that they are operating in. First floor cafes are always something that I like because of the view.
They serve almost 30 home crafted flavours ! Each unique in their own way.
The Ais might melt some hearts with its assortment of ice cream & sorbets in fun flavours like Cinnamon Plum, Horlicks Kit Kat, Rum & Raisin, Baileys, Gula Melaka, Coffee Nuts, Lemon Poppyseed & Dragon Fruit
I love Milky drink as it is not very sweet but more milk in stead. Thus, it is very popular among the customers who order this milky drink according to the owner of Lerz Tea & Coffee.
