All in all, the food was decent and I do not mind sinking myself into such local culture again for the breakfast. The place was unique with its locality.
Makanan dia semua dibungkus dalam kuantiti yang kecik so senang la korang habiskan sekali hadap ja. Tak ada istilah membazir kat situ. Aku rekomen korang makan apa yang aku order tu semua. Roti bakar, cucur bilis, nasi lemak, laksa Johor dan telur separuh masak semua best dan menyelerakan. Paling best sekali telur separuh masak dia tu. Wow sangat.
Nasi Lemak - Nothing luxurious hidden in the pack; just rice, peanuts and sambal chilli. Even though the rice was cold, you can't deny the richness of the coconut milk that enveloped each grain of rice. Chilli was the sweet and slightly spicy type i personally enjoyed. In summary, it's a small and simple appetizer to whet my appetite!
Over the years, Kuang Fei Tangkak Beef Noodles had branched out, and operates in Melaka, Kuchai Lama and Puchong. Unlike this main store, the branches have more comprehensive menu which includes beef balls et cetera.
At RM8.00, the portion of the noodles was way too little for a town offering comparing to my favouriteTangkak Beef Noodle in Taman OUG which is RM8.50 for a small bowl, but having a meat portion that was much more than the one at Tangkak.
Taste: Broth was thick and yummy! Love it!
Restaurant Nyonya Treats Cuisine is a no pork no lard place so it's suitable for our Muslim pals. The taste as overall was average to us and in fact, was on the saltier side. It will be more interesting to taste more Nyonya cuisines in Johor so as to compare more.
Thick slab of otah paste encasing mackerel flakes. I am not joking when I say this beats Muar Otak flat.
Oh yes.. cannot leave Nyonya Treats without Durian Cendol! Yummssssss...
Supnya sangat sedap.. sangat sedap di tekak Sk. Terus lupa mee bandung ke, sate ke.. otak-otak ke.. hahaha. Walaupun sup mamak rupanya, tapi tak ada rasa mamak.
Muar Soup House kalau korang nak tau merupakan satu satu restoran makanan halal Muslim jenis hybrid yang menghidangkan makanan India Muslim (mamak), Western menu dan juga sedikit menu resipi Indonesia seperti bakso dan gado-gado. Hargo makanan di sini juga wow! Memang very affordable dan boleh dikatakan amat berpatutan. Cuba fikir, rojak tanpa mee cuma rm4.50 sahaja. Nanti admin tunjukkan pada korang menu beserta harganya sekali.

Kak Nor's delicious fried chicken alone is enough for me to come back to Ayam Goreng Dapur Kayu.
She shared that the chickens are marinated in the morning before they started to fry them. As you can see from the photo, there are stacks of firewood at the right side. The moment I stepped into the kitchen, I can smell the fragrance of fried chicken.
okeh...ensuami bwk mkn kat situ.. awal bulan kot.. pastu x tau mna picca ni..hihi.. ramai sgt org sbb dekat dgn kawasan kilang kena dtg cepat2 klu x tgl kayu je nti..ayam da masuk perut masing2...
Serius sedap kopi dia.
Sejak 1935 lagi tau........tak main laaaa nescafe....oldtown kopitiam....... kopi jantan......(opsss!).
[Clockwise from the top] Curry Laksa, Mee Rebus and Chicken Curry PEGGY LOH drops in at the railway station kopitiam, enjoys a hot cu...
No doubt that the items are fresh and yummy I find that the Laksa spiciness level was not suitable for my tummy. Nonetheless, this famous Laksa Yong Tau Foo place has been popular with many and had its returning customers. For 3 bowls of Yong Tau Foo and 4 drinks, we paid about 65 RM.
[Pork-free, lard-free] Foon Yew Laksa offers more than 30 toppings to add to your curry mee! This is a popular stall in Johor Bahru.
The best cendol I've ever had so far was from Batu Pahat. I'm not sure if the stall is still there, but at least now I found a good alternative at Grace's Mama Nyonya. It's definitely closer to where I live, too. I could ride a bike to the shop and return back home within 10 minutes. Now I can enjoy nice cendol on a weekly basis!
A humble eatery, Grace's Mama Nyonya in Desa Tebrau is my go to place for Nyonya food in Johor Bahru. It is home cooked food prepared by a skilful, passionate chef.
The most memorable for me is their roti jala with chicken curry which I give 4-Stars
Mee rebus. It was a comfort food that nicely warmed our stomachs
The gravy (kuah in Malay) is the soul of mee rebus. Haji Wahid’s gravy is subtly fragrant. Sometimes, I caught whiffs of the distinctive aroma of ground dried shrimps. Ground dried shrimp is a traditional ingredient that I seldom find in mee rebus stalls nowadays. Kudos to Haji Wahid’s for keeping to tradition.
First came the glutinous rice, first time for me too... And I would like to order this again the next time... Suited our taste buds!
An excellent pit stop when you are around Senai or catching a flight at the airport.
我觉得这里的食物还蛮不错的,价钱可能会比较贵一些些不过味道都很好,值得一试;)
Not a bad "corner" to hangout at and I will definitely revisit again. Of course, not all are good and not are bad. As far for me, I like the curry chicken fried mantou and their classic kaya toast.
Kedai Kopi Batu Lima Klasik is one such eatery where the decor is like a little museum and immersive experience back to the 1960s.
Our hosts took us to Kuching Style Restaurant to taste their Sarawak Kolo Noodle.
And seriously, the food and drinks they serve here is reallyyyyyyyy good!!!! Among the best hotel food I ever had!!!! Even better then some notable five star hotels…
Once we had done eating, we explored the restaurant and checked out the colourful murals and well, took pictures at the entrance with the trishaw….. it was definitely food for the stomach and food for the mind and soul… and yes, the food is really good… I truly recommend it to all who visits Muar…
Did you go to Restaurant Rabbit Home yet ? It seems that the average resident of Muar knows the existence of a restaurant located in Muar , Johor . Famous for the history displayed in the restaurant . Concerned on the restaurant's Muar Historical Concept Restaurant or Museum , James Teo said , Muar Historia Rabbit Home is a must-referral site for outdoor visitors , especially historical fans .
4-Star (out of 5) Indeed, this is one of the best curry laksa that I have tasted in Malaysia and Singapore. If you like robust flavours in a milky broth, I am confident that you will like Amy's Curry Laksa too. Thick full body, loads of ingredients and richly packed with flavours and aromas. Got kick. Must Try!
Recommended by Johor Kaki. Flavourful food that came in big portions, with the mee siam hot and spicy with a sour tinge, the nasi lemak moist and fragrant, and the chicken chop crispy and flavourful. I really like the kueh, which were well made and fresh.
Storey Ria serves a wide range of curries, rendang, deep fried and stir fried dishes. Storey Ria is a popular caterer among locals but is one JB's best kept secrets among Johoreans.
