以平时的价格来看,这里的价位太高,环境和水准比它好的应该不难找。
The rib eye with truffled butter sauce in Ante is the star, tastes bit salty with the gravy and goes very well with the pork steak. Like it!
它家的『香烤豬扒』份量十足、魅力足以讓你神魂顛倒,烤香後的豬扒口感鮮嫩多汁,好吃到讓你吮手指,超讚得嘞~😍!
Ante, located beside Nandos, (2 shops beside Nandos to be exact) is a non-halal restaurant that serves premier pork steaks in One Utama. Although the meals displayed in the menu below is on the high end, we are here today to review on their set lunch which only available from 11AM to 3PM.
Laman Seri ni area baru. pastu memang cantikla depan skate park shah alam tu je. pastu sekali masuk kedai ni serius harga murah haha. not badla makanan dia worth it la dengan harga. kalau harga mahal sangat kita mesti expect rasa dia marvelous gila kan.
Food writing is an on-going learning journey. A visit to Anne Elizabeth, a deli-style restaurant owned by husband and wife team, Jacob Fong and Sandra Lee, proved enlightening as I grappled with unfamiliar meat cuts like abanico and picanha.
Next to arrive was the Australian marbled ribeye (RM78), which was perfectly cooked to medium doneness as requested. We chose this as the marbling looked incredible on the meat in its raw state, and it certainly did not disappoint in terms of taste too... super tender and juicy! Served with two types of sauce and mustard.
We had, not one but two pieces of Iberico Abanico (RM39.80 per piece). Each piece is about 250gm. Grilled to 70% doneness, Jacob assured us that this is very safe for consumption since it is Iberico. The texture of the Abanico is amazing, utterly tender, juicy and has a beautiful bouncy bite. Due to the marbling, the flavour component is also deliciously tasty. Served with the three-standard mustard, dark caramelized roasted gravy and pepper cream, this cut of Iberico is further accentuated in terms of flavours. Absolutely worth a try if you have not had this before…
The Baked Shell-Less Escargot is one of my favourites here. The escargots are just as nice as it is and they are baked till perfection with the garlic butter sauce. They are beautifully done which makes it to be one of our favourite place for some escargot.
Overall, i think they are priced very well, and a must visit.
The Deep-fried Brie Cheese Balls were full of rich creamy cheesy goodness. I particularly loved the sweet red onion ginger chutney served as it cuts through some of the richness of brie.
What a wonderful world at Sis & Co at Ara Damansara. A spectacular sight to behold! Tastefully done interior with a luxurious fe...
Roast Pork Belly (MYR 35) Crispy roast pork served with pickled papaya salad, mashed potato and dipping sauce. Would love to opine that the siew yuk here was actually pretty good- considering this Oriental affair is delivered from some Western kitchen but still got executed with crackling crispy skin! The accompanied relish was lovely too!
Piggie Pesto, 29 ringgit. This was good. It was a classic pesto pasta with smoked pork bacon and pork croutons. A lil dryer than the pesto pastas I usually have and with a whole lot lesser pesto sauce but it was nevertheless tasty. The pork croutons was a creative inclusion, it certainly did add flavor and some chewyness to this dish. There were button mushrooms scattered all over which added more texture to the dish. Overall, a good dish.
Another one of our favourites here is the Fried Anchovies. I find the preparation here to be really good. The price is now RM 12.90 and we found the portion to be decent. Preparation was good and again, this too deserves a rating of 9/10. Do note that this is a spicy dish and comes with lot's of bird eye chillies.
Coliseum is most well known for their sizzling meats and that's exactly what they're good at. I would just stick with anything sizzling...in brown or black pepper sauce.....and forget about everything else...except (maybe?) their Hainanese Chicken Chop (which many have sing praises of) though I'm doubtful the sauce (which looks too reddish from the photos I see on blogs), probably leaning more towards a tart tomato-based sauce, can be better than Yut Kee's (which I absolutely love).
Coliseum Cafe is a popular dining spots. The cafe is fully packed during dinner time especially on weekends. We waited for around 30mins to be seated. Oh well, good food are worth the wait right?
Overall the food has good standards but the interior of the restaurant is slightly dated and in dire need of a facelift. The high price point with outdated interior doesn’t quite justify the worthiness but thankfully the food is good!
Reasons to visit Prime Le Meridien KL: a restaurant were steak is handled with absolute respect; chef Ramiro Moya brings a fantastic new menu to the restaurant with some authentic Latin American touches and beautiful plating; a great wine list.

Overall Rating: 7/10. While I'm writing this, merely a day after dining at Maria's, I came to realised that everything just felt... boring. There were no excitement, no surprises and nothing interesting on the plate that was urging me to dig into immediately. Don't get me wrong - the steak was good; the rest of the dishes were decent though average. Perhaps... I was just secretly hoping more.
Maria's Steak Cafe recently introduced a new set lunch menu and we were invited to their Bangsar outlet to check it out. For lunch, diners can choose from 4 different sets, all of which include a complimentary soup of the day and ice lemon tea / soft drink. The price of the set lunch differs depending on which main course you choose. The choices include Australian Wagyu 5 steak (RM80/100g), roast lamb (RM35), fish and chips (RM28) and chicken bolognese (RM19). The set lunch is available everyday, from 12pm to 3pm. Verdict: Would not hesitate in recommending Maria's Steak Cafe for its steaks!
Reasons to visit: We highly recommend ordering the grass fed Australian steaks, cooked rare to medium. They are simply delicious! The Spicy Mussels, the Soups, the Tiramisu and a really good wine list all make a trip to Maria’s worthwhile.

What do We Like about Astons Specialities One Utama? -Affordable and tasty steak -Good dining environment
It’s been weeks since our visit, but I’m still reliving the amazing food we had at The Steakhouse KL. I’m hoping that we can eat here more often than once a year on my birthday. Even for people with regular salaries, the steak prices are actually reasonable for the quality and amount you get. I’ve seen steaks being served in shittier restaurants that cost way more. However, there is no way to eat at The Steakhouse inexpensively, so unless you’re a walking moneybag, you have to be fine with spending at least RM300 for two. Although one cannot really “cheap out” when coming here and I’m sure everything on the menu is worthwhile, it would be a crime to come here and order the chicken or spaghetti just to save money. Indulge a little at The Steakhouse KL if you can, and you are guaranteed an expertly prepared steak and a generous portion of food.
Medium rare rib eye with garlic mashed potato and red wine sauce. You may also season the steak with the salt that suits your taste, though, to me, they are pretty much the same. xD
Reasons to visit possibly the best steakhouse KL: okay, I’ve only been here a couple of months but it is the best meal I have had since arriving in KL; creative plating; stylish décor; and most of all succulent steak cooked to perfection – a meat-lovers dream.
Reasons to visit: The steaks are the best that you will have; Chef Ramiro’s incredible culinary skills, vision and creativity; the atmosphere is spectacular; and did I mention the steaks?
Highly recommended untuk yang ingin menikmati steaks dan ribs selain gi makan kat Menate.
We were happy with our steaks though I agree with my brother that we could do with a better sear on the steaks.
When it comes to steak restaurants in KL, Las Vacas is one of the more successful ones. The fact that they have grown to four branches and are still around after 10 years is a testament to them doing something right. And that ‘something’? I think it’s serving what the customers ask for: affordable and decent steaks.
Las Vacas is renowned for diners selecting their choice of the best beef cuts and marbling before getting the kitchen team to whip it up to their liking. There is always a solid range of premium quality beef ranging from grain fed to grass fed and to the premium wagyu up to marbling of 9. All beef are wet aged for 3 weeks to produce beefy robust flavours. Food ingredients used are halal certified. Fear not if beef is not your thing as they also serve chicken, lamb, salmon as well as pasta, burgers and sandwiches.
My Personal Opinion As they choose not to season or lightly season their meat, it didn't appeal as much to my spouse (as it did me) since he's someone who likes the robust flavour of a well-seasoned steak (he gave the salt grinder a good workout). Luckily, they had good sauces to make you not notice (as much) the under-seasoned meat. I think you can only get away with not seasoning your meat if it's of exceptional quality (like wagyu) where you can really taste the flavour in the meat itself. But then a good seasoning on a steak do tend to give it that crusty, savoury layer on the outside of the meat that I truly adore.
Reasons to visit: The smoky rich flavors courtesy of the charcoal; 16 wines offered by the glass (20% off on Sundays); don’t miss the Smoked and Cured Cherry Valley Duck, the Roasted Angus Rib-Eye, and of course the Sticky Date Pudding!
Reasons to visit: excellent selection of wines handpicked by the experts; regular wine dinner events with a guide are a chance to expand your knowledge and your palate; quality ingredients simply prepared in the Bertha oven.
