Here was the yuxiangqiezi from Birds of a Feather, a place that I haven't been back to in ages. The dishes were dressed up with lots of fancy garnishes; their barramundi chazuke was more upscale (complete with a theatrical presentation) compared to the one at Sichuan Alley.
Birds Of A Feather 2022 115 Amoy Street #01-01 https://www.birdsofafeather.com.sg/ Pork Dumplings (SGD $17)
Overall, this is the first time I came to BOF and I totally enjoyed the food here. Instead of the overpowering spicy Sichuan cuisine, most of the dishes have been well thought out, multi-layered yet balanced, delicious and well-executed.
One-Michelin-starred Nouri, helmed by Chef Ivan Brehm, has launched a new Four-Course Dinner (S$168++) featuring menus that change weekly. The Four-Course meal is designed to be enjoyed at Nouri’s dining counter for the more time conscious diners.
This place isn't cheap (72 Amoy Street, 6221-4148). But it's a one Michelin-starred restaurant, and I figured that I might as well indulge now that we're nearly out of the circuit breaker period.
The emphasis on fresh herbs made everything very aromatic.
Desserts aside, the food at The Bravery largely exceeded my expectations, made better by their sunlight-dappled interiors and central location.
With a full-service team led by Sous Chef Melvin Lam and award-winning Head Barista Maryvn Tan, customers can expect an elevated menu comprising new dishes, crowd-pleasing signatures, freshly-baked treats and quality brews.
The first floor is where you can get your coffee fix and a variety of seating formats caters to different interactions whole the second storey houses The Bravery’s in-house bakery, which churns out fresh breads and baked goods daily.
Bar-A-Thym Restaurant by Francois Mermilliod Easter Sunday Brunch, Deviled eggs, free flow charcuterie board, Lamb on the Spit, Angus Sirloin...
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
Everything was good. The striploin in particular was quite tender, juicy and nicely beefy and smoky. You just had to mop up the juices from the takeaway box, and drizzle on the red wine jus, for an almost perfect takeaway steak.
Nestled in the vibrant Club Street, Singapore, Le Bon Funk Club Street has been opened since 2018 and I only managed to check it out recently for dinner. With one other outlet in Holland Village, the Club Street outlet is the OG and the space and interior exudes a chic and trendy ambience. This is one of the concepts under The Lo & Behold Group which is also behind Odette, Claudine and one of the trendiest concepts in 2023, casual Italian restaurant Fico.
Instead of saying Barnsley Chop ($39), which is imported from New Zealand and not Barnsley, they should have written “Barnsley Lamb Chops.”
Dessert was a mousse-y chocolate cake with crème anglaise and a sprinkle of warm spices.
Good Spanish food at Kulto, cosy dining vibes and if you are looking to try a new Spanish restaurant, Kulto is worth a shot.
My favourite dish of the evening was this slab of dessert made with a layer of sponge, Whisky-infused Chantilly Cream and egg yolk ganache.
What made it worthwhile to order dessert at Kulto was that they were served with coffee. The coffee was strong and we liked the taste of it.
It is definitely amongst the top, that’s for sure. And perhaps, even better than the various other best restaurants Restaurant Andre shared accolades with. And despite the price, I am sure to say, I will return again; without a doubt.
The food intrigued and tantalised the palate. The service was excellent. We finished dinner in a great frame of mind.
22 reviews of Restaurant ANDRE "Been meaning to write a review about Andre now for one hell of a long while. This is probably the easiest 3 Michelin Star to give in Singapore. Everything about it is...perfect! From the setting, to the food, to…
Monument Lifestyle at Duxton is unlike the typical cafe in a hipster enclave or a swanky cafe in a mall. The interior is visually engaging and the place has personality.
I quite liked my Chipotle Chicken sandwich (S$14) and latte (S$6.50) even if things were on the pricier side!
The vibe is great here and I would certainly be back for more coffee and the teas they have to offer.
Don Ho Restaurant review - food and drinks at Keong Saik Road, Singapore with pictures of menu and Social Hour drinks list ...
Overall, Don Ho serves some mean brunch dishes, and if you go from 11.30am onwards, you can also order from their lunch menu, which features salads, flatbreads and some meat-based dishes. Kudos to their friendly and attentive service crew, and definitely to the pretty set-up of the cafe.
All in all, we had an enjoyable dining experience at DON HO Social Kitchen & Bar.
I really enjoyed every course at Thevar. The flavours are punchy, yet the courses are well-planned with surprises in terms of flavours for me. I like the unpretentious service and fine-casual dining experience too. In short, it is a well-deserved Michelin Star restaurant which is worthy of a try.
I don't think I need to repeat myself again after raving through the dishes at Thevar that this is a highly recommended spot to check out if you're craving for something non-Western.
Robust flavours across the dishes at Kilo and it is a lovely dining ambience as well. This restaurant is suitable for couple dates or group meals, and it is one worth returning again.
Kilo Kitchen at Duxton has a relaxed atmosphere and a resort feel - the menu offers a mix of cuisines from all over the world.
I was quite disappointed at the experience at the new Kilo Kitchen. Doubt i'll be back anytime soon.
They were better than I was expecting, but they also weren't as briny as I prefer. Either way, they did a wonderful job with their smoked local sea bass, which was paired nicely with shaved fennel and green apple.
Either way, they did a wonderful job with their smoked local sea bass, which was paired nicely with shaved fennel and green apple.
Their mac and cheese was delicious. Creamy and cheesy fortified by a glaze of broken house cured yolk and bits of their house cured bacon.
We love that their grub, in particular the sandwiches and beef pie, are consistently delicious, hearty, and unpretentious.
The espresso for their affogato was thick, bitter but not so aromatic as coffees go. So it kinda works with the ice cream but doesn't quite work for me as a coffee.
The most iconic landmark in Keong Saik Road has to be Potato Head Singapore, a brand which hails from Indonesia.
Come here, whisper sweet nothings about that burger in hand and nurse your old fashioned with oily paws. It's okay. Perfection is overrated. A little sloppiness shows vulnerability. Live real.
The food is delicious; the ambience is relaxing; and the service is warm. This is definitely one of the better cafes to open this year.
It’ll take more than one visit to fully savour what .elia has to offer, and we’re definitely making plans to return.
The place gives a cosy and comfortable feel which best suits for private occasions and dates.
we all need to pamper and enjoy ourselves once in a while and Marcy's is the perfect restaurant for conversations and delicious seafood.
If you enjoy outdoor dinning and Italian food, Latteria Mozzarella Bar is the place I would recommend.
A beautiful space, with beautiful hearts.
A spot that would work well for those looking for a casual spot with simple food for a short catch-up whilst getting educated about eco-friendly products, or even for those who are looking for somewhere away from the crowds and peaceful to do some work at.
Half the reason to go to Chikin is for their Chicken. Come with an open-mind and you'll be blessed with a showing of weird odds and ends.
Overall, this is a great place to hang out be it after work or not. We thoroughly enjoyed ourselves from the great skewers, friendly staff, right down to the sexy interior.
With just less than half a year into operations, Hustle Co has undergone a series of menu tweakings to introduce a variety of unqiue offerings to indulge in for brunch.
As much as it fulfilled all the criteria of a decent burger, we felt that it was not a great one. The beef patty was lacking in flavour and although the bacon and cheese provided a heightened level of salt and richness, it was not enough to make this burger stand out.
While their menu sounded good on paper, I guess they require a bit more practice to perfect the food execution.
