The Black Pepper Durian set we had was for 4 pax and it comes with 2pcs of meaty crabs, 12 pcs of large prawns, 500g of mussels and bunch of vegetables like carrots, corns, potatoes, red onions, and celery. You can choose to add on more seafood such as lobster, giant fresh water prawn, XXXL crab, just to mention a few. The seafood was meaty and plump, especially the crabs. It was easy to peel and the succulent flesh literally slides off the shell. There were lots of mussels and a good amount of prawns presented in this seafood set.

Japanese Curry Chicken Rice, 19.90 ringgit. This was delicious. What you’d get in this dish is rice + salad + herbal chicken soup + chicken fillet + Japanese Curry. Loved their Japanese Curry, its texture is similar to that of a Butter Chicken gravy? Thick, slightly sweet and slightly spicy – yup, that was how the Japanese Curry tasted. When you mix that gravy with the rice and chicken fillet – Wowza! Very yummy indeed.

For my simple order of Ayam Goreng, with Kubis cost me RM 12. One of the most expensive Nasi Kandar in my list now. They even BEAT KAYU in terms of price. No doubht, their curry banjir in my plate is fragrant and filled with spices, but the price of it is the killing factor. I would still prefer Pelita as the main choice of Nasi Kandar. Shellout is one of the seafood restaurant that just serve all their seafood on their table without any plates or bowls. Not just that, you are advised to eat with your bare hands. Yes, this is the well-known which is currently is a trend for seafood indulgence. All their seafood is served freshly in Cajun style which is more widely known as Louisiana seafood boil. Verdict : This place gets all the marks for excellent customer service. Even on a busy festive day they apologized profusely to us for not being able to serve us better, and even threw in a discount as well! Taste-wise, just excellent. Perhaps the food might have been a little on the salty side, but the gNOMes were too busy licking their fingers for it to matter. Price-wise, surprisingly reasonable for a seafood place. The gNOMes will definitely be back again! This time, hopefully they will go easy on the salt! ;)

Char Siew Rice Lunch Set at MYR 14.90 nett. My friend said that the julienned carrot and daikon are only slightly pickled so they are not very appetising and the raw lettuce could do with a dressing. I tested a piece of the char siew and found it acceptable - soft and sweet.

The Mushroom Aglio Olio was surprisingly good. I usually give spaghetti a miss because the noodles texture are usually harder than what I’d like or it is perhaps drowning in oil. The one here though was just right. The texture of the noodles were soft yet chewy. The oil wasn’t an overwhelming amount. There were plenty of mushrooms. It was yummy enough to have on its own but we decided to add on a fish fillet, just for some added flavor and taste. It was a lovely dish overall, simple and yummy.

All in all, the impressive thing here is obviously the super fancy menu and combo sets offered, that would make your life super easy when ordering. One doesn’t even need to go through the entire menu to actually decide because the combo sets pretty much takes care of your need. Side dishes are considered generous when it comes to assortment.

Despite several cons but it doesn't make me to remember the pros. I am still happy with the exciting experience of different taste of pork belly. I just hope they will improve with the food grilling consistency, some tastes in the meat which is barely detectable and lastly to solve the oil splatter issue. Dry Char Siew Wantan Mee (Large), 8.60 ringgit. As for its taste, it tasted good. I do not like wantan noodles that are thick in size and thankfully, the ones served here are thin to medium. Soaked with kechup with about 8,9 relatively thick strips of pork meat. If you do not fancy pork meat for today, there is always chicken and fried dumpling meat to satisfy you.

The Salted Egg Yolk Carbonara (RM 22.90) is a decent choice too. It uses thinner type of spaghetti noodles to allow more surfaces coated by the salted egg yolk and cream. You may be expecting a strong and bold taste of salted egg yolk but surprisingly the taste is rather mild. Mushrooms and cauliflowers were used to top the pasta.
