The fish is smothered in a piquant and spicy Nyonya sauce that is redolent of spices and herbs. Although the sauce is robust and heavy in flavours, one can still taste the sweetness of the firm and tender flesh of the Soon Hock fish. The dish beckons for a bowl of steamed rice as the sauce is moreish and addictive.

Wedding DinnerAbout a year ago, I attended a wedding lunch at this hotel and just recently I was at the same hotel for a wedding dinner held in this restaurant. This time, I managed to take photos of all 9 dishes served. As I do not eat much dinner, I made an exception this time though I still make an effort to only eat a bit from each dish. Crispy snacks on the table before the event starts.
Just eatDim Sum for a weekday lunch at Xin Cuisine, Concorde Hotel. The deep fried prawn dumplings (salad har) were filled with prawns and none of those meat paste as fillers so they were very tasty. The stir fried carrot cake has 3 sizable prawns in it.

Curry is not quite normal, usually you get tom yam, The Curry is not a thick laksa type curry with coconut milk, but surprisingly works well... and the myriad ingredients makes it so tasty towards the end, you could just chug a whole bowl of the soup.
