I am glad we choose Goodwood Park Hotel to use our SVR voucher. Although it is the second oldest hotel in Singapore, it just ages gracefully. The refurbishment project rejuvenates the rooms while maintaining the grandeur and history of the hotel.

As you can imagine, I am very disappointed by the lack of any form of service recovery for all that has transpired, especially from a hotel of Shangri-La Hotel, Singapore’s standing.

Finally, a bucket list off my list. I am glad I jumped on the current staycation promotion to check out Raffles Singapore, and my impression of the property is no longer just what I see from the glamorous facade along Beach Road. It is amazing how well-restored the more than a century old heritage property is. This is definitely one property to stay once in your lifetime, and I am proud of such a heritage property in Singapore.

Overall, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Grand Hyatt Singapore.
Service at Andaz Singapore is frustrating. Staff are friendly, but perhaps overly stringent, though they carry out tasks quickly and efficiently.
The room is super spacious, with an estimated size of about 42 sqm, with a Super King size bed, built-in sofa, a round table, TV and minibar complete with coffee machine and mini-fridge.
Apart from the all-you-can-eat pizzas, the buffet price gets you all-you-can-drink pilsner beers, specially made for Andaz Singapore in collaboration with Trouble Brewing.
This year mooncake boxes are fashioned from satin fabric to resemble the reflection of a glimmering full moon. It is also embellished with motifs of fabled birds and flowers to symbolise optimism, serenity, and health.

This is probably one of the biggest hotel property in the CBD. The design of the room and club lounge impress me the most, while service is mixed on the grounds. The standards of the food is really average in general.
One Farrer Hotel, located within walking distance of Farrer Park MRT Station, is formerly known as One Farrer Hotel and Spa. The hotel is integrated with Farrer Park Hospital and Farrer Park Medical Centre.

All in all we had a lovely stay at The Westin Singapore. If you have kids, I highly recommend you check out the Family Weekend at Westin staycation package which gives great value and isn’t much more than what you would pay under the ordinary rate.

Great infinity pool in the city for sure, and the spacious rooms and grand lobby make The Westin Singapore a pleasant experience for me.
While the hotel’s age is visually evident and the time-locked guest rooms are not an immediate choice for either a romantic staycation or a playful gathering of friends, the hotel’s commendable location as well as the Pacific Club lounge experience alone warrant the price of admission.
