Verdict: Overall, our Peking Duck course meal was rather satisfying but the portion of the food was a bit small and less compatible to the price. With total damage of RM500.00, (we also had white rice (RM3.00/pax), Oolong Tea (RM6.00/pax) and titbit (RM2.00×3), we certainly hoping a more satisfying meal.
Prosperity Abalone Treasure Pot Feast (RM468 for 6-8 pax ; RM888 for 10 pax)
Double-boiled Hydrangea Beancurd, Sea Cucumber and Matsutake @ RM 38. Some of you do see the knife skill of cutting tofu like coral in the sea and here you go. They do have one here. A soup that looks simple and is punch with flavour.
Sautéed Diced Chicken with Dried Flower Chili in Szechuan Style@ RM38 Addictively good and delicious. I am just loving this so much. The cubes of chicken which is well tossed with the dried flower chili imported all the way from China. Love the kick of spiciness and it is also very addictive too.
Braised Pork Belly Served with Steamed Bun 寶塔扣肉花包 (RM88) Braised Pork Belly with Steamed Bun, another favourite of ours. A dish with laborious preparation, starting by choosing high quality pork belly with good ratio of fat and lean meat, slow braised till tender soft. It is then sliced, wrapped and layered up to form a pagoda shape. Next, Dragon-i Peking Duck in-house brown sauce, dressed over the meat for a alluring, glossy finish.
Overall Verdict 1. Be it the time-tested classics or the new innovative dishes, Dragon-i Peking Duck Restaurant has nailed it. 2. In terms of food presentation, taste, restaurant ambience and dining experience, I have no complaints at all. 3. Recommended: Peking Duck, Double-boiled Hydrangea Beancurd Soup and Braised Pork Belly
The "Peking Duck 3 Course Meal" for 3-4pax, is priced at RM158.00, and came with: ∎ One whole roast duck ∎ Duck bone with soft bean curd ∎ Stir-fried duck's bone in Hunan style
Over all we definitely had a great time and awesome lunch at Dragon-i. I think it is time we start to look at Peking duck as a delicacy that is to be enjoyed not only during special occasions such as near & around CNY, but all year round too.
