The mutton meat and ribs were just slightly gamey, fragrant and seriously fall off the bone tender, but with that bit of nice chewiness. The ribs had that slight bit of fattiness for additional flavour and texture. Good stuff, just a bit gentler and probably less oily than the sup kambing I remember from Commonwealth Drive.

Great place for an interesting Chinese meal. There is no doubt that Chef Tonny is a master of Cantonese cuisine, but his culinary sense of adventure means that a meal here is a meal of discovery as well as enjoyment.
Overall, it was indeed a good dining experience. Their signature dishes such as Crispy Yam with Truffle Oil, Homemade Beancurd and Claypot Chicken with Chinese Wine are a must to order here.
Ambience at Tonny Restaurant is simple, rustic, but clean.
I do see myself coming back here for their bowl of prawn porridge, which, in a good way, did not taste like any other porridge I have tried.
I’m 100% coming down again for the prawn porridge because it’s just that good. Looks like porridge will be my new favourite thing for a while.
Effandi Food Corner sits in a corner of Upper Boon Keng Market and Food Centre. The stall was easy to spot, as the tables in front of, and near, the stall were especially crowded.
I guess I should thank him as well, for this delicious plate of char kway teow.
I do see myself splurging for the abalone pork noodles at Gimee Face, but on most days, the pork noodles provide incredible value at $3.80, and that is the stall’s biggest strength.
Luck Xiao Chao exemplifies what I look for in an eatery. It understands that the quality of food isn’t measured by its price tag or a restaurant’s blingy decor.
Overall, the wonton noodles were rather average.
If I do go back, I would just go for the Mushroom Bak Chor Mee which is supposedly their signature.
A stall that caught my eyes is Toa Payoh 93 Soon Kueh with their handmade traditional kueh.
For someone who is not a Ban Mian eater, I am genuinely impressed by the delicious Ban Mian at Hui Wei Chilli Ban Mian. Head here for your Ban Mian craving, no regrets!
The Mee Hoon Kueh is, dare I say, one of my favourites in Singapore. I would recommend ordering their dry noodles, just so you can try their famous chilli.
A food blog from a Singapore-based traveler
Worthy of his one precious meal for the day. Taking my cue from Vincent’s rule for recommendations, that’s when I sent a photo of our meal to several group chats on my phone.
If I am craving for a good Nasi Ayam, this will be one of my choice in Singapore.
We love the taste and texture of the marinated chicken meat.
The bak kut teh was all herbally, layered in flavours, and strong. Quite an authentic Klang style black bak kut teh. The pork ribs were tender and slightly fatty, and the tau kee and tau pok soaked up the broth very nicely. One of the best Malaysian-style bak kut teh here.
In a time when I can’t hop over to JB for my favourite bak kut teh, Leong Kee Klang Bak Kut Teh more than satisfies my cravings, with the quality of their food, and affordability.
To name a few Klang Style Bak Kut Teh in Singapore, I felt that Leong Kee's has the best taste so far even though there are better ones out there.
揾到食 Wen Dao Shi – Dim Sum at Sim Avenue Aljunied
One of Singapore Top Dim Sum Restuarant
126 Tim Sum is open 24 hours a day. It is frequented by night owls since few restaurant remain open during the wee hours of the night.
Kuong’s Wanton Mee is one of the well-known places for Wanton Mee in Singapore. The Noodles are nicely biting to the bite, the Char Siew is a little too dry for me, the Wantons are well seasoned.
Although I had tasted their Wanton Mee in JEM, I still prefer this original outlet in Sims Avenue even there is no air-conditioned environment. Having said this, Mall is still easier to access as compared to here.
Koung's pork - dried scallop - dried sole fish soup and wantons are better than Kok Kee's in my opinion.
One of the few places with the choice of duck drumstick. As expected, the braised duck was tender and well braised, plus expertly chopped. The rice was fragrant, and the braising sauce was layered and herbal with a nice sweet flavour underpinning the whole dish.

So if you love the food here, be sure to tell Mr Ong—he might just keep operating the stall longer than he says he will.
Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee has garnered many wonderful reviews over the years, so I was surprised that their prawn noodles didn’t taste as good as expected.
This is a not-bad bowl, quite satisfying, though I suspect it used to be much better in the past.
The name Jalan Sultan Prawn Mee 惹蘭蘇丹蝦麺 will almost always be mentioned when there is a discussion about the best prawn noodles in Singapore.
With the Circuit Breaker taking place in Singapore, it’s all about takeaway and delivery. As such, Circuit Breaker food photos ain’t that great because it’s all delivery and you can’t be bothered to transfer food to style it. So screw it! It’s about the food anyway!!!
With such a vast variety of food suitable for any meal of the day, it’s no wonder Mongkok Dim Sum is always packed!
The quality and variety of the dim sum here are enough to convince me to come back.
The staffs here are friendly and attentive. The dishes are served within 15minutes upon ordering. It was pretty fast and efficient.
Highly recommended. I like Tan Ser Seng's turtle soup because of it's nice texture and mild herbal taste from quality ingredients.
For the price and standard, I do not mind returning back again for more. They have more than just 1 outlet in Singapore and it will be best to visit the branch at our convenience.
