Perfect for cheese enthusiasts, this dish promises a delightfully cheesy experience. Additionally, the croissant I ordered was impeccably flaky and buttery.
Nice setting for French cuisine; not as formal and with elements of Balinese design. I do like the high tables and chairs although they might not be as well-liked by other diners. Oh well, it's hard to satisfy everyone!
Dishes recommended were the Southern French-style flaky pizza pissaladiere of Provence, the Alsatian tarte flambee made a la minute, and locally-sourced prawns marinated with French-Spanish influence and garlic, and more!
Really smooth fish balls and fish paste, spongy fried beancurd, and generally very simple and serviceable yong tau foo. Tasty and moist fishcake. Nice and light.
in Tiong Bahru Yong Tao Hu we get good traditional foods - Yong Tao Hu, of Hakka origin, Hainanese Kaya Toast and Teochew Bak Chor Mee.
For a good bowl of Yong Tao Hu, this stall is a must try, despite the fact that there are so many other food options in Tiong Bahru.
Tiong Bahru Bakery gives you even more reason to cheer this April with a 1-for-1 deal when you take away their Pain Au Chocolat ($3.50), or chocolate croissant, on Easter Sunday, 21 April 2019.
A favourite of mine, the Chocolate Almond Croissant ($4) was fluffy and crispy and layered and rich.
I don’t mind going back for a quiet brunch (for their croissant), but definitely not the weekends. Happy to know that they are opened on Monday – perfect!
Recommended by Small Potatoes Make The Steak Look Bigger. 我觉得面太软了,水煮味太重了,吃不出肉脞面的酱味。Everything else was average, including the very gummy fish dumplings. This was quite popular though, so I may have gotten the one “off” bowl.
The kopi from this place sure kickstarts my heart.
I must have subconsciously enjoyed the tom yam ba chor mee at Pin Sheng more than I had registered because I came back for the tom yam mee pok.
Tiong Bahru holds several food memories for me and I've found another reason to return.
The porridge was really savoury and umami, cooked in a bone broth with ikan bilis and soya beans, with the rice pre-marinated in shallot oil. The minced pork balls were a flavour and umami bomb, with the dried flatfish flavour hitting you first, and the freshness and the sweetness of the pork coming next. Really simple and nice.
While the porridge might be a little on the pricey side, I really do feel that it is quite worth the buck for the portion and freshness of ingredients.
We really wanted to give the Pulot Hitam ($4.50), a dessert of black glutinous rice pudding swirled with coconut milk, a fair shake, but this was watery and lackluster. This was the Hubs' favourite dessert but he actually declined a second mouthful.
Xin Cuisine Chinese Restaurant at Holiday Inn Singapore Atrium welcomes the Year of the Dragon with a delectable array of perennial favorites available for takeout and an exquisite selection of seven celebratory set menus for dining in.
I’ve been to Xin Cuisine before, and true to expectations, the food was very enjoyable. The first course set the tone with the eye-catching Caviar Roasted Duck. Everyone raved about the Hashima & Crab Meat Soup, and when I say everyone, that includes the Ang Moh and the 2 kids! The baked lobster, so flavourful I really wished I had several more! We thoroughly enjoyed every dish. I guess the only complaint if I had one is that the Braised seasonal Vegetables in Superior Stock looks a little simple and plain, and the portion size not very large.
Xin Cuisine’s Chinese New Year Takeaways are available for order from 1 December 2022 till 2 February 2023 through its e-shop . Available for collection/ delivery from 21 December 2022 to 5 February 2023.

If you're looking for a healthy meat-free Christmas feast, then the 2020 Christmas menu at Beast & Butterflies will surely delight!
It was a satisfying meal and am glad that my friends enjoyed it too. Thank you and compliments to the Chef and team Beast & Butterflies.
Overall, having sushi at Sushiro reminds me of those days as a student and having sushi at Sakae sushi; affordable sushi for all with basic quality sushi.
Sushiro had a cold option on their menu though, which I was curious about. It was kinda like hiyayakko from a texture perspective, but with a savory seafood taste that came through more cleanly than in the hot version. I might actually order this again.
Food at Sushiro features classic Japanese cuisine and modern Japanese Fusion cuisine, with a focus on zushi / sushi.
A popular place for Greek food in Singapore, Bakalaki Greek Taverna is a large Greek restaurant in the River Valley Road / Mohamed Sultan area. Here are some of the food that we tried during a repeat visit.
Bakalaki really is better visited in a large group, when one can share all sorts of stuff, like all of this nicely grilled seafood, not to mention a whole fish that they grilled and filleted for us, following a bunch of meze. I still can't confidently say whether I prefer these guys or Blu Kouzina, but the brightly lit decor is a nice setting for a business lunch.
The space is light and airy and inviting. The food is even better!
we concluded the meal, relishing in yet another happy dining experience at Wine And Chef.
Very ordinary squid ink pasta – I couldn’t taste the uni in the sauce at all.

Kok Sen Zi Char Takeaway Oddle Delivery: Claypot Yong Tau Foo, Black Bean Beef Hor Fun, Seafood fried rice ....
A colleague of mine introduced us to Kok Sen on Keong Saik, a Tze Char that produces great dishes. She was surprised that we hadn’t heard about it.
big prawn hor fun was not bad tasting but I wouldn't get it again.
The Chip Bee Gardens stretch of cafes and boutiques at Holland Village has always been popular, and with the arrival of Keong Saik Bakery’s second outlet, it’s about to get more buzzing; especially since perennial favourites like % Arabica and Sunday Folks continue to draw in the crowds. Keong Saik
Overall, I am excited to try the other bakes of the bakery when I have more stomach space or more dining party but it would probably be a takeaway since dining there has a 1 hour limit which is not exactly the best for friend to catch up. As for the drinks, I would give it a miss
The Orh Nee Croissant Cube and Orh Nee Cake are available in limited quantities daily for walk-in only, but the Orh Chu Bee is available both for walk-in and pre-orders online in slices and whole cakes.
One of the best, if not the best curry rice in Singapore, Loo’s Hainanese Curry Rice is something that you have to try at least once in your lifetime. Queues start to form very early, and the popular dishes do tend to sell out fast! So, come early to get your hands on a plate of messy goodness!
Hainanese Curry Rice in Singapore, check out Loo’s if you are in Tiong Bahru which will not disapppoint.

Not a bad plate of chai tow kway. I liked that there were some crusty caramelized bits on some of the edges.
Overall, being a true blue Singaporean, such simple and straight forward breakfast is nothing more than comfortable to me. I will not mind having such traditional Cantonese Porridge frequently with so many varieties around.
All in all, I like the novelty of this joint, as it’s really quite different from the neighbors, and the menu concept paired with mixologist concoctions, makes this a nice place for revisits at different times of the day.
Kafe Utu managed to live up to my low expectations, seeing how this is the first African cafe I've seen in my whole life here and they managed to hit home with the ambiance, dish curation and service.
I foresee this space to survive Singapore’s competitive culinary scene in years to come, as it provides both great food and good vibes.

I would probably go back again if there was an occasion to!
The decor of the Olivia Restaurant is done in a contemporary and timeless style. It still looked fresh and new after two years. The open kitchen is the heart of the place. It is flanked on three sides by the U-shaped dining area.
