Overall, being a true blue Singaporean, such simple and straight forward breakfast is nothing more than comfortable to me. I will not mind having such traditional Cantonese Porridge frequently with so many varieties around.

This was done really toasty and crispy on the outside, stuffed with cucumber and beansprouts, and topped with peanuts and a nice pungent shrimp sauce or hae ko. Nice traditional stuff.
There is no lack of food options in Tiong Bahru Food Centre and The Coco Rice is worth a try if you need to satisfy your nasi lemak cravings. The portion is quite huge and it is personally too much for me.
If you’re looking for a cooler, cheaper alternative to your typical Cafe cheeseburger in Tiong Bahru, Skirt & Dirt is the place to be! They also have another outlet in Bukit Timah that’s closed on Tuesdays.
