I ordered chicken hor fun (MYR 11.20+ 6% sst = MYR 11.90 nett). The two prawns did not have the taste of fresh prawns so I did not like them but the soup and hor fun noodles are fine.

Verdict: For an established eatery like Nam Heong, I definitely expect more that this. Food we tried was below my expectation and it would be hard to be convinced for a revisit anytime soon.

Prawn and Foie Gras Toast (RM28) This was potentially the winner of the day! Innovative fusion dish that proves the chefs could do more than just traditional chinese cuisine. Delicious on its own, the creamy foie gras made a wonderful pair with the crunchy toast underneath.

So when I was recently invited to taste and review their new menu items of their 3 latest offerings, I couldn't be more excited. I believe these additions will enhance GO Noodle House's wide variety of menu ranging from meatballs, fish paste, pork belly slices to a variety of seafood such as Grouper fish slices, clams, prawns, padi field frogs just to name a few, thus giving the regular diners more option to choose from their current menu.

Grouper Fillet Thin Mee Hoon in Clear Soup again at MYR19.90 nett. As before, there were 6 slices of deep fried grouper fish fillet. Now I wonder which fish noodle I prefer - the one at Go Noodle or this one. Both has its own merits but this one has a lower price by 80 cents

As a first-timer in Smart Kitchen (超人气), we ordered the “Super Deal Set A” RM18.80 which consists of – Hot & Spicy Soup with Australian Beef Noodles (台中麻辣肥牛面) (can choose any from: fine egg noodles, thick egg noodles, and smart noodles), Deep Fried Turnip Balls (五香沙葛炸丸) and a cup of FREE beverage. We are astounded with the outcome which turns out to be super delicious – hot & spicy noodles have a very thick and fragrant buttery-garlic broth, not spicy at all and taste heavenly good while slurping with smooth semi-raw sirloin beef slices (feels like having beef sashimi dipping with some butter garlic sauce), personally would recommend this dish and is a must try! 😉

You may have to spend around RM20 per pax for a meal here if you order their char siew separately by portion sizes. If you find the prices too steep, then go for a more reasonably priced plate of char siew rice. Though this place has been around for 7 years now, I don't know if the standard is still the same as when they first started (since this is my first visit) but it definitely has a place (in my books) among some of the top-notch char siew I've had over the years. We tend to eat at the same places or close to where we live and I'm only discovering some of these places since I started blogging about my food experiences among others. I guess I should have come sooner but better late than never, right? It'll be interesting to see what's in store at their new place.....new additions to the menu perhaps? I shall return! ^_^

I actually liked the soup based Wan Ton Mee with Charsiew, noodle was just right with not salty soup (although I did not try it) plus tofu skins and wan ton and slices of not too bad charsiew. A surprising satisfying breakfast.

Curry Noodle, 8.90 ringgit. Their Curry Mee was nice, yummy. i love thick ‘curry’ and the one here was pretty good. It was not overloaded with santan and the flavoring of the curry shined. There was some heat, some spice – the right amount to allow you a taste of those much welcomed flavors but not overwhelming in a way that makes you sweat – get what I mean? Not that I do not enjoy a good sweat but not at nightlah. There was those soggy tauhu that I liked, about 4 of them, yay! Just having them tauhu in your mouth and as soon as you bite down on them and the soup just burst out of them – yummmmm! The chicken was the shredded version – steamed chicken sreadded into smaller pieces? Yup those ones, they were soft, juicy and meaty, a good addition.

Claypot Prawn Rice is one of the top sellers at this restaurant. Being a dish that is rare to find, they prepare this in a unique method so much so, even the base paste is different to the Chicken Rice. Be sure to thoroughly mixed it up before consuming. Otherwise, the paste would be unevenly distributed and you wouldn't be able to enjoy the dish. The shrimps used are quite large and they were fresh and juicy. The taste of the rice is so unique that you would not have tasted anything similar to this. A must try dish at this restaurant. May seem a little pricey but it's totally worth it. My rating for this shall be 10/10.

Dry Char Siew Wan Tan Mee (Small) @ RM 7.00 Their Wan Tan Mee was truly good. In fact, this was the best that I have had in recent days. Among all the Wan Tan Mee places that I have shared, this was the best. The noodles were so delicious on it's own and they were very generous with the sauces. My rating for their Wan Tan Mee would be 9/10.

Cheap eatery located at Uptown. Spoke to the owner and she said she is the sister of the one who runs the famous Pudu May King Lum Mee. No wonder it tasted so similar! The obvious difference is the chilli - the chilli at Uptown didn't taste as good as the one at Pudu. It was a more diluted and milder. Nevertheless, the rest are pretty much about the same. Also, to take note, this restaurant do not serve pork. Enjoy!

My Verdict at Tart Passion I like Pandan Egg Tart and this is very special and new in town that I never seen before. All tart made with freshly ingredients and still crispy on next day after I heating again from oven. Best consume within 3 days and remember store in fridge to ensure the tart keep in fresh always.

Easily will be spotted while the stall was placed in front of the shop , Six Item on menu everyday Fresh Egg tart , Pandan egg tart , Portuguese Egg tart , Chicken Siew Pao , Coconuts tart and Kaya puff . Me myself is a tart lover too , where ever I saw Egg Tart I will get some and try out . (506 B) Spicy Hakka Style Fried Pork, 14.90. ‘Dry’ Option : Spicy Hakka Style Fried Pork. When it first arrived at my table, I was like “it looks kindda little” but after mixing it all up and eating it – do not underestimate its power to fill you up faster than anticipated. The fried pork meat came in generous meaty chunks. As you can most probably see from the images above, the pork is a lil different. Rather than the usual BBQ sauce glazed, thinly sliced pork meat with or without fats, here – you would get fried pork meat. It tasted awesome. Different but awesome. There was also a generous portion of flavorful seaweed? Mix them all up with the noodles and you’d get a wholesome plate of yumminess. Loved this!
