Service at Andaz Singapore is frustrating. Staff are friendly, but perhaps overly stringent, though they carry out tasks quickly and efficiently.
The room is super spacious, with an estimated size of about 42 sqm, with a Super King size bed, built-in sofa, a round table, TV and minibar complete with coffee machine and mini-fridge.
Apart from the all-you-can-eat pizzas, the buffet price gets you all-you-can-drink pilsner beers, specially made for Andaz Singapore in collaboration with Trouble Brewing.
Bring your friends and family, and enjoy a charming taste of authentic Singaporean flavours here at Ginger!
Ginger at PARKROYAL on Beach Road definitely has no shortage of excellent dishes infused with authentic Singaporean flavours.
We absolutely loved the Roast Angus Beef with Truffle Puree.

Chef Jeremy Nguee returns this week with a recommendation for excellent prawn noodles by, to quote their website, a band of young and passionate individuals determined to keep the Singaporean cult…
The soup seems to have become smoother and richer from when they were at Golden Mile, sweet, prawny, and very drinkable. Neither Singaporean nor Penang – a savoury sweet style of its own.
If you’re looking for a compelling argument to give pig liver a try, there’s a hawker stall you need to visit—Jin Xi Lai (Mui Siong) Minced Meat Noodle.
Jin Xi Lai (Mui Siong) Minced Meat Noodle, situated in Yi He Eating House, boasts a BCM recipe that’s more than 50 years old!
We ordered from Poke Theory for lunch today, so I went for this pre-configured shoyu tuna bowl. Those two dark things on top were kale chips; they provided a small portion on the side, and those crunchy savory things were more exciting to me than the rest of the bowl. There was no limu nor tsunami action here, but it was healthy and fresh.
Like Teochew herh keow, these "UFO" oyster cakes are really one of those things that really deserve more attention. Mine was still warm from this stall (166 Jalan Besar #02-34), and it was not just delightfully briny, but was also filled with the heft of minced meat and earthy greens inside.
Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant at PARKROYAL on Beach Road brings to the table a variety of Lunar New Year Set Menus available from 09 January to 05 February 2023.
Food at Si Chuan Dou Hua Restaurant is focused on Chinese Sichuan / Szechuan and Chinese Cantonese cuisine. Ingredients are fresh, premium, and consistently well executed, resulting in delicious dishes.
I have to say I am really impressed with the dishes here.
One Farrer Hotel, located within walking distance of Farrer Park MRT Station, is formerly known as One Farrer Hotel and Spa. The hotel is integrated with Farrer Park Hospital and Farrer Park Medical Centre.
All in all, I enjoyed the hotel stay at One Farrer.
Food at One Farrer Hotel is mostly provided at the Garden Pavilion Restaurant. Fully air-conditioned and set amidst the Garden Walk, with flowy drapes and elegant chandeliers hanging from the ceiling, the large dining hall looks so welcoming.
I'm not a shareholder if anyone was suspecting. I just like their food.
I wouldn't say no to this comfort bowl of childhood favourite. They are opened daily 9.30am to 5pm but closed on Wednesday. I bet you will feel the same that the queue is worth waiting for!
Someone had warned me :“don’t bother to try the sungei road laksa as the portion is really small nowadays and standard isn’t as great as bef...
Hawker food with long history is hard to come by in Singapore. If you have not yet tried Sungei Road Laksa, it is worth the trip to Jalan Besar for a taste of how Laksa is prepared and served in the past. I left feeling very satisfied.
Swee Choon Tim Sum is one of Singapore's oldest Dim Sum restaurants.
Swee Choon has been one of my to go to places for supper since my clubbing days.
Legendary 58-year-old Dim Sum Specialist Swee Choon Launches Its First-ever Truffle Xiao Long Bao
Spice Brasserie at PARKROYAL on Kitchener Road has reopened its doors and we are all ready for their Christmas buffet.
亚洲街头美食任点自助餐只在周末推出,星期六与星期日午餐,星期五至星期日晚餐,每人$58。
I always like the buffet offered by Spice Brasserie. Since now it is ala carte format, it is even better. Sit back, order and eat.
I love how every component in this bowl of porridge is coming together beautifully not just in terms of flavors but textures as well.
This was something I would eat very often if I stayed nearby, if not for the wait and the heat. My favourite porridge in Singapore, together with Soon Lee at Clementi.
Johore Road Boon Kee Pork Porridge is located along Veerasamy Road. They specialize in Hainanese porridge and their porridge is visibly grainier and thicker than Cantonese or Teochew porridge.
No doubt that their dim sum was freshly made with traditional recipes, there are still many competitors out there for their dim sum which can be better and worth the money spent. The time we spent in the queue did not make justice to our meal here. Perhaps, it's best to make a reservation before heading down there.
This was a satisfying birthday lunch and no doubt I would be back again! Three items deserved a re-order and they shall be the Wolfberry with Mushroom Siew Mai, the Signature Hot & Spicy Dumplings and the Signature Pandan Crispy Pork Bun!
There seem to be more and more Dim Sum options around these days. Sum Dim Sum opened up at Jalan Besar and offers some creative items.
While the place is specializing in coffee, they have quite a good menu offering the different kinds of coffee. Coffee lovers might want to visit this place to check it out.
If you’d like a taste of Brotherbird Bakehouse’s more unique flavours, without having to deal with ordering online, head down to the newly-reopened Brotherbird Coffeehouse.
Food at % Arabica is limited to a few baked goods. People come for the coffee beverages, in either hot or iced form.
YouFu Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodle YouFu Fried Hokkien Prawn Noodle by twentysomething Andre Ong couldn’t have bopped onto the scene...
Promising young Hokkien Mee hawker. Andre really gives his Hokkien Mee a good char before adding the stock which results in flavourful noodles which have fully absorbed the prawn stock!
Today's plate was a little dryer than the one from the week before. Still tasty.
Would love to be back soon! Maybe with one basket of otah and another basket of curry siew mai. And maybe more deep fried items. Plus, of course, the yummy lava buns!
I like what I had; consistency was smooth although flavor was on the bland side. What I enjoyed most was that there were plenty of ingredients inside, and the generous amount of century eggs definitely enhanced the flavor of the congee! Only thing I regretted, not adding an egg!
Happy Congee, 滿粥了, porridge, jalan besar
As for the prawn soup, I am relieved that there is no overwhelming saccharine levels of rock sugar because that is how the prawn soup from my neighborhood tastes like.
Sometimes expectations can get way too high when you hear about a restaurant or a stall in Singapore. So I always have to temper them when I eat at a place that has been featured many times on tv o…
Although on the lighter side, it is still flavorful enough with crustacean essence and a underlying pork sweetness that does not make me feel guilty for finishing it to the last drop.
