We truly enjoyed our afternoon at the new location of Nobu Kuala Lumpur. The food was superb, the location is a stunner, and the service was fabulous. One could easily slip into this accessible location for a bite to eat at the sushi bar, a drink at the inviting cocktail bar, a meal with family and friends, or a private meal in the 12-person private room overlooking the park. This new location has everything you would expect from the high standards of Nobu, right in the heart of Kuala Lumpur.

Roti Babi, 11 ringgit There were several dishes that were popular here and one of them is the Roti Babi. Just by looking around, you’d be able to see this dish on almost every other table. Sure, it is loaded with calories but it was da bomb. The top and bottom of this dish is made up of french toast and on the inside, there is a generous portion of flavorful pork minced meat + caramelized onions. Yummy!

During our stay, we experienced the ultra spacious, luxe Grand Executive Suite (152 sq m), the epitome of opulence and elegance. Fresh orchids greeted us as we walked through the door into our suite, and we were immediately wowed by the vastness and well-appointed, stunning interior of the suite. The residentially-styled suite comes with a bedroom with a king-sized bed, marble bathroom with separate toilet, walk-in wardrobe, a spacious living area and dining area with a pantry (Nepresso coffee machine and a large fridge/freezer). The hotel also thoughtfully arranged two single rollaway beds for the kids as well as a welcome candy bar with delicious sweet treats.

VERDICT If you are looking for a quality stay with topnotch experience be it the comfortable room, delicious BBQ dinner or relaxing swim at the rooftop pool, Hotel Stripes Kuala Lumpur Autograph Collection is definitely something you can consider. Personally, my experience here is nothing short of comfort, uniqueness and excellent service. Hotel Stripes tops my list of favourite spots for weekend getaways in KL. Our Deluxe Room came with a comfortable king-sized bed, fluffy pillows and duvet, a sofa and a cosy worktable. There was a large black and white photo of Jalan Kamunting in the 1940s hanging over the bed. I felt it offset the otherwise modern furnishings quite well and lent the space a sense of nostalgia.
