Like I mentioned, this is a short food sharing and food review. I was there for a quick lunch and only ordered two versions of their nasi lemak. They also offer nasi lemak with butter chicken and maybe you might want to order that too. Mamalee Malaysian Cuisine famous nasi lemak definitely lives up to their reputation and it is a good alternative to the famous Village Park nasi lemak which is located on the same road and down the road. Mamalee, the delicious and creative addition to our usual nasi lemak, the price was very reasonable with very big piece of L-shape chicken
Mamalee’s Salted Egg Fried Chicken Nasi Lemak is definitely worth checking out if you’re a big fan of salted egg! Located in Damansara Uptown, Mamalee is a Penang style Nyonya restaurant for casual dining.
The Fried Rice cost me 11 ringgit but it can feed 2,3 people. The package it came in was filled right to the top. Portion size was generous. Not just the rice. The ‘ikan bilis’, kankung, cili padi, shrimps + chicken bits were more than anticipated. From the first spoon until the last, you’d get a nice mix of ingredients. Nasi Goreng Kampung has a distinct flavor and taste, right? The kind that you’d immediately know the type of Nasi Goreng it was upon tasting it?? Yup, that flavor was evident here. I’d definitely reorder this dish again. If you are a Kampung Fried Rice lover, you’d certainly enjoy Mamalees’ version.
The goodies in the bubur cha cha - yam cubes, sweet potatoes cubes and chewy red "jellies" made from tapioca starch (predecessors to those very popular tapioca pearls boba) swimming in coconut milk sweet broth.
I'll tell ya, the reviews were spot on. The salted egg sauce is thick and full of salted egg yolk flavor. If you are a fan of salted egg yolk chicken, this one is worth a trip to Damansara Uptown.
I selected the MYR 10 nett nasi lemak chicken rendang with a glass of cold cham (coffee mix with tea) which is too much for me since there are two pieces of chicken (a drumstick and a thigh) so I kept half for my friend. Tastes good though the rice may not be coconut milky enough for those who look for very strong coconut milk fragrance for the rice. It is truly good value for money for this set.
Crispy and juicy fried chicken coated with salted egg sauce. Yum!! Must try for Salted Egg Lovers!! Salted Egg Fried Chicken Nasi Lemak @ RM 12
The food is really yummy and affordable. The service needs A LOT of improvement. But if you’re not in a rush, it’s a great choice. Plus, the people are really nice. The lady apologised to all of us for all the mess ups. They know they have to improve. Try it for yourself. OVERALL: 3/5
Nasi Lemak Salted Egg Fried Chicken, 12 ringgit. The Nasi Lemak tasted as it should. The rice, egg, sambal, peanuts were all yummy. The chicken though was da bomb. I received a BIG piece of tender, meaty chicken thigh that was soaked in salted egg sauce. The chicken skin was crispy thin + plus the sweetish sour flavor feom the sauce offered an additional burst of flavors. The anchovie sambal was spicy and packed some heat. The combination of everything was truly delicious.
