For my first visit in many years, I wouldn’t be satisfied with just hokkien mee at Golden Mile Food Centre . I walked a few rounds and decid...
This would be my first time in many years to Golden Mile Hawker Centre but I think the timing was right as the food center just completed it...
the choon kee roast meats were good-roast pork char siew both good, roast duck ok..
We absolutely loved the Roast Angus Beef with Truffle Puree.
Ginger at PARKROYAL on Beach Road has a successful revamp last year, with a strong focal point in the interior design of Ginger by award winning Singapore-based Australian designer Emma Maxwell, denominated by soothing pastel colours and floral wallpapers in a spacious setting.
While Ginger appeared to be an affordable buffet on paper, especially with the promise of free-flow seafood, the reality fell quite short.
best dish for me was the chilli crab…sauce & bun good..crab acceptable quality
overall still better than andaz which was bad… staff were stretched and harassed…so service polite but infrequent.
Their First Impressions — cute way of introducing the appetisers — was definitely good.
This Valentine's Day, treat you and your loved one with an exclusive three-course sharing menu at Burger & Lobster, their Raffles Hotel Singapore restaurant.
After Happy Chef and Lala Bee Hoon , I don’t think it’s an exaggeration to categorically state that I am literally stuffed. But when the G...
Pretended to quench thirst with their expensive but delicious pineapple tea.
This has been a stellar experience: food, service and ambience.
Service at Akira Back befits a fine dining establishment. Staff are polite and friendly, quickly welcoming guests and showing them to seats.
The food I had at Akira Back are generally very on point, from the starters all the way to the desserts. Service is professional and competent.
I seldom take duck confit, did today & it was better than most..skin crispy and meat was moist and tender and tasty.
The quality of the dishes at The Masses offers good value for its accessible prices.
I'm not sure how quickly I'll come back given that the bill here can add up after a number of plates and drinks.
Richly flavoured beef braised till tender and complement with chillies, ginger and 7 spices blended in coconut milk. Shiok!
Finding authentic heritage food these days are challenging. More often than not, even if they claimed to be made with good old recipes, they are products of central kitchens.
Here I’ve highlighted eight homemade dishes (including dessert) designed to be shared with family and friends — available at Folklore exclusively from 4th to 19 February 2019.
I have to say I am really impressed with the dishes here.
The dishes lean towards a mix of Sichuan and Cantonese fares at this branch, and it is one Chinese restaurant to check out in Farrer Park.
Besides the 9 single-serve choices of the premium dim sum specialities, they also serve unlimited portions of the other 26 choices
The Ultima Wagyu Sashimi features a platter of Japanese Murasaki Uni, Tataki Miyazaki A5 Wagyu with Siberian Caviar, a shot of Mozuku Algae, and Japanese Seasonal Sashimi.
UNI Gallery by OosterBay, known for one of the most treasured Japanese delicacy - sea urchin.
A brick-and-mortar expansion by OosterBay, Uni Gallery offers possibly the largest variety of fine quality uni, alongside with sashimi and other fresh seafood.
The 19-year-old stall, specialising in chicken claypot rice, is run by a couple - Mr Pan and Mdm Tan. Rice is cooked from scratch, firstly with the gas stove...
Yew Chuan Claypot Rice is one of the most popular stalls at Golden Mile Food Centre.
For the sense of familiarity and flavour, I will definitely be back.
Promising young Hokkien Mee hawker. Andre really gives his Hokkien Mee a good char before adding the stock which results in flavourful noodles which have fully absorbed the prawn stock!
Today's plate was a little dryer than the one from the week before. Still tasty.
we should all continue to support him so that he can survive and continue to work hard and improve his dish!
not a place we will go back to..
overall very good dimsum but don’t seem to have 潮州粉果…
The Chocolate Cremeux ($9) was a beautifully constructed gold-flaked mandarin orange-accented dessert. Not the most comforting, but gorgeous nonetheless.
At Nox, the idea of dining in complete darkness is novel, and it was fun trying to figure out the dishes laid in front of me from across the 3 platters.
It may sound gimmicky, and you may think that the food would be just mediocre, but I promise you that the food is excellent.
The concept of NOX challenges guests to a multi-sensory journey beyond sight, which sometimes affects your perception of food even before tasting it.
I'll highly recommend that you give this exclusive collaboration a go because the food is really pretty impressive.
My personal favourites are the Chicken Masala from Samy’s Curry and the Scallops Curry from Tiffin Room.
It is truly a pity, as the food definitely did look good and the ingredients were fresh.
lemon grass beef skewers excellent too. crab soup a bit like bun rieu so so for me.
Pho bo tai was pretty good too. I thought the broth was a good balance between the beefy savoury and sweetness.
22 reviews of Mrs Pho "Their pho is goooood. The place is tiny industrial-cool, dim in a hip kind of way, and that kind of squished that makes you feel real cozy with your companions and all the people a table over. Food was really quite…
The possible reason for such a drop in the standard probably has to do with the departure of their head chef.
The star here is still the claypot rice. I am glad that the restaurant continues to cook their claypot rice over charcoal fire.
Geylang Claypot Rice is definitely one of my favourites! Call in advance to reserve a table, and to ensure that your rice will be ready when you arrive.
Don't need to say much about the noodles or bee hoon as this prawn noodle is all about the soup, prawn and prawn ball
altogether a pretty enjoyable bowl. Wouldn't mind another the next time.
Overall I find One Prawn Noodle serves a good bowl of prawn noodle.
The final item of the UOB birthday treat at Shinji Carlton Hotel was another memorable piece – the super sweet Japanese melon.
Shinji by Kanesaka Raffles Hotel is done up like a typical sushi restaurant in Japan. Simple light wood finish all round. We were seated at a long counter that accommodates about 16 customers.
19 reviews of Shinji By Kanesaka "I've only tried better sushi in San Diego's Nobu but hands down to this location. Recently moved to Singapore and I am always on a lookup for a new places and new go to restaurants and this will be one on my list…
In general, the food is acceptable but the dishes were not that tasty enough for me to make a return trip in months to come.
The first was Flying Pig's signature Omelette Fried Rice with Garlic Pork and Basil Pork. The presentation was as beautiful as advertised.
I was surprised by how aromatic this was, as the entire plate carried a pleasantly mild crab aroma
The perfect place to experience some old school Hainanese comfort food!
Mediocre steamboat and bad service, there is very little reason to be here except for nostalgic reasons and the Hainanese Chicken Rice.
The food is good, especially the chicken rice, and they will hear some things that delve a bit deeper about Singaporeans.
