The kaya here was more coconuty, caramelised and distinctively brown, and came on a nicely toasted bun, crispy outside and soft inside. You can understand why the Taiwanese tourists seemed to love the kaya bun here. The coffee here was bitter and strong and less milky.

Overall, for the price of SGD 168 for 2 people, it is quite a value for money especially when it comes with a huge bottle of sake. The sake was very smooth and easy to drink while enjoying the meal. The dishes were well thought out with some interesting ingredients used and tasted good. The only disappointing factor for me was the tuna as I do have high standards for my tuna sushi after being spoilt in Japan

Recommended by Johor Kaki. The spring onion or scallion oil ladled on the noodles was really nice, and lent a refined fragrant touch to the noodles. The soy sauce chicken was gently and subtly flavoured, and really tender and savoury.
